Very weak performance
If you're just gonna use this NAS for its extremely basic features e.g. file storage, its fine. For anything else its the slowest NAS ive ever used.It struggles with everything.

Quite simply the best NAS I have owned
I have owned a number of NAS, (QNAP TS251, TS 453A, TS233, Synology DS214, TerraMaster F2-422, a couple of WDMycloud). So what makes this so good? Well I can recommend this one as an absolutely great device (I can also recommend its smaller and cheaper brother the TS233, which I initially bought). This is what I think is great. The CPU/SOC has both NEON pipelines and a Neural Processing unit(NPU), this means it has the power to play/stream video files via Plex etc (NEON) and also using the free QuMagi app (NPU) it can use machine learning to sort/index your media files. (For example you can create a folder/share called photos and point QuMagie at it, then identify a few people in the photos in Qumagie and it will then identify these people through all your photos, making it easy to find them, it also identifies things and places, so you can use a conditional search (Find photo of Aunti Carol with a camel) for example and it will. The Intel based NAS will do the same but lacking an NPU it will take them 6-12x longer to index your photos. Both the 233 and 433 come with enough RAM (2GB & 4GB respectively) to run other apps, (Choose your NAS wisely though as you cannot upgrade the RAM). So on both I used container station to run Pi-Hole to filter out ads for all devices on my home network. With very little effect on your NAS CPU/RAM. (To do search Youtube and follow the various videos, it takes 2-3 minutes).i also run music station to stream music to my phone. This NAS will do it all.
