I have been looking for pure hing for quite some time, trying lot of different brands, but none were perfect and every one was with filler, none were 100% pure. The moment I opened this packet, the aroma bursted out. Its very fresh and pure, just a pinch will do the work. Going to keep this as my permanent hing brand. Hope they keep this quality.

This brand of hing is an extraordinary product. A rice size grain will flavor an entire dish. Anyone who enjoys Desi dishes should stop buying the cheap powder available in most Indian markets and buy this product. The aroma is stunning and somewhat akin to truffles. If you want to make an authentic dish of moong dhal or Tamil style potatoes then this is for you.

So, there are two kind of people- one who likes their onion garlic and one who likes the devil's dung aka Hing aka asafoeteda. We are the dung ones! Growing up, having used to purest afghan hing ,those storebought powdered hing brands, frankly feel like scam! In Covid times I am out of my beloved strong hing and I turned to amazon to rescue!Ok, actual review now. -Texture- it is in granulated form. Not powdered so you'll have to crush it before adding. (Grandma's tip- use back of a spoon to crush)Flavour and strength- stronger than all the ones I tried from store. Not strong as my old one from India. Since strong, a pinch goes a long way.Value for money- The price is a bit higher but I believe thats because of the cross continent availability.This was my second time ordering this brand. I believe, this might be my go to hing for few more months!All in all, order it you won't be disappointed.

only use a a little. It is the real thing without being compounded with rice or wheat flour. So use only a mustard size amount

Love this product, I wish they offer different size. Expensive for the price what u get. Very strong flavor. Love it.

This is the real thing and so little is needed in cooking as just a crumb goes a long ways in terms of flavour, this should me a lifetime. I see that some people found that ingredients said it contained wheat 1% or another review said 10%. Mine does not contain wheat thankfully. The bottle says "pure asafoedita (hing)" which is important to me as I am gluten-intolerant. I see in the small print on this website that manufacturer batches vary in ingredients, so beware. I was just lucky.

Absolutely love this tiny bottle of bomb! Just a couple of granules do the job and is far more potent than other brands that cost a quarter the price and are in powder form.
