Excellent for archiving due to AZO dye and will record at 4x for CD-Rs!
Either these Music Digital Audio or the the other music and data AZO discs highly recommended. I record all my CD-R at 4x and get almost an exact duplicate of the source with no errors, strong bass, excellent soundstage and smooth presentation. Yes, slow CD-R recording results in the best sound for archiving. It amazes me that so many buyers write nonsense in their reviews. I am so tired reading that buys can't tell the difference between the top and the recordable side. That is impossible. The top side is silver and if one hold it under a strong light, the concentric etchings will be very obvious. The recordable side is green not blue even though AZO dye is blue, it gets changed from green due to the reflective layer but is totally obvious which is the recordable side. And these discs are as good as any today for precise recording and longevity since gold discs are too expensive. I have 100s of these discs and not one has ever gone bad. I have only ever had one recordable go bad and I have been recording since 1989 and that was a DVD-R DL. The AZO Verbatim and Optical Quantum are as good as you will find today for now and the future.
