No complaints here
The media could not be loaded. This was one of the best finds I have ever purchased. We were able to take 2 of my daughter’s friends on our yearly camping trip to Yosemite with so much stuff packed into the cargo bag. It was easy to install and all the straps held up just fine even when tightened by my husband who can sometimes over do it. The zipper is nice and thick and the material kept all the stuff dry when the rain came down hard and we had to pack everything up on our last morning at our campsite. We have a 2009 crv with a bare roof so having the option to use the clips was probably the best feature, and as you can see the, size is just right. It packs well in it’s storage bag if you can remember (I took a video as I unpacked it) how it came folded out of the bag. Couldn’t have asked for more to make our time in the car more comfortable. We had space and nothing rattles or buzzes or clanks. Great value for the money for a product that works as it should.

Perfect car-top carrier!!! Highly recommend!!!
This car top carrier withstood a cross-country relocation in terribly inclement weather and stayed put beautifully, keeping our belongings safe and dry!!! Highly recommend!!! Incredible value for the money, sturdy, and very high quality!!! Highest level of functionality and protection for our beautiful things!!! The zipper worked great!!!

Served it’s purpose - vertical cross bars only
I was hoping to mount this the Highlander, but it worked better on the GLK due to the positioning of the cross bars. This is a well made and great quality overhead storage. We travelled 5.5 hours in rain storm from the East Bay California to Rogue Valley, Oregon! Large capacity. It was easy to install and kept everything dry and in tact. You will lose gas mileage but it’s not too bad! Saves you money over renting a mini U-Haul.

Good quality, needs a few design improvements
I have a 2016 Subaru Outback. This fits between the roof rails, but I did not want to rest this on the top of the car and risk damage to the car or sunroof. So I wanted to use my cross rails to elevate the carrier above the car roof. The carrier has a soft bottom, so will not rest on the cross rails. I bought a piece of 3/8" plywood and made a solid bottom for the carrier. See pictures for dimensions. Once I did this, I was able to rest it on the cross rails just fine. The tie downs were a bit difficult to wrap around because the carrier was as wide as the side rails, but we got it to works. We used this for a 3 week trip where we had to load and unload the carrier most days. A better design would allow access to the compartment without having to remove the straps. It is waterproof, so that works fine. But overall I would suggest providing a firm bottom piece (removable) for those that don't want this to rest on the car roof. Also, I would redo the strapping design so that the carrier could be opened while firmly strapped down. To open the zipper, you have to loosen all the straps. A better design would move the strap locations down lower and move the zipper above them. Then you could firmly attach the carrier to the roof rails, and only have to remove the straps at the end of the trip.

Did me well from CO to AR
I bought this to put on top of my Mazda for a drive from Colorado to Arkansas. It packed pretty much all of my soft items on top of my car. It was incredibly easy to install and held so much. It basically held everything I could hold inside of my car and doubled the space by adding space on top of my car. It is incredibly thick and we even drove through rain/hail and it held up and I had no worries. I liked that it came with the lock so that I felt comfortable leaving the stuff on top of my car when we stayed at a hotel overnight.

Good for an occasional travel
Well made but it may not last long. No regular shape unless it is full

Buckles didn’t make sense until we used our brains
We took this on our trip to California and it performed great. Instructions are kind of unhelpful but we figured it out in the end. The corner buckles come cinched together all the way and we thought you had to tie them. No no. Just pull the bottom of the buckle further towards the tail of the strap and then hook them around your rooftop rack and then buckle and cinch. The middle ones weren’t cinched up when we opened it up so it wasn’t clear the corner ones had to be uncinched. It held up great on our trip. We even got rained on and it was no problem. Fit about two large suitcases and three carry on sizes comfortably.

Made is 3500 miles across country
This was great for price. Very durable kept all stuff dry. I would buy again and recommend it. Not so easy to fold in cold weather but that is ok. Zipper was very durable.
