KONG Extreme Flyer - Durable Soft Natural Rubber Flying Disc Dog Toy For Fetch & Retrieve - For Large Dogs

This is a great toy - our son’s whippet really enjoys it. While after a number of months of tugging play it eventually came apart but I think this should be expected. It’s only rubber. However, while this durable version may survive quite a while with a whippet, it didn’t last long when his friend’s Labrador arrived! A comment though on the latest purchase - perhaps in response to previous feedback on durability, the flyer now seems heavier and thicker on the rim - these two factors actually make it more difficult to throw but it should certainly last longer - I’d still recommend it - the whippet still loves it

I ordered 3 of these (Like the impatient idiot i am), and each one that was inside the package, was folded in half and individually packaged. First mistake was folding it, and storing it folded, as the rubber has taken the shape of the fold, so now the disc is basically hinged in the middle. The disk is too thin to fly properly, not rigid enough to withstand even the smallest bit of wind without nosediving sideways into the ground. I'm not sure if the hinging effect provided by the idiots packaging has anything to do with this. This product is basically misbranded, or a FAKE. For Kong to call this their EXTREME flyer is a total leap. My dog had eaten through the first one within the first half an hour of throwing it for her. I had a red kong flyer large that lasted me a month and a half before she managed to get a small hole in it and subsequently tear it asunder. To summarise: NOT THICK ENOUGH TO FLY WELL. WAY LESS DURABLE THAN THE NON-EXTREME "NORMAL" KONG FLYER FOLDED IN HALF!! AND STORED LIKE THAT FOR ENOUGH TIME TO INTRODUCE A BEND IN THE FLYER! FLIMSY AND FLOPPY AND BENT. VERY UNLIKE KONG. OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY AND AMOUNT OF RAW MATERIALS USED TO MAKE IT. DISAPPOINTING.

Brilliant , it does at first seem to be made quite flimsy but I think that's to do with the flyability. My dog absolutely loves this frisbee and doesn't bother with any others . I think it feels good in her mouth. She loves carrying it around and letting it flap on her face too! We lost our first one in the sea in Scotland so wil have to get another

No good if your dog is a chewer,like all Kong products it doesn't last 5 minutes.

We had the red version, which has lasted 4 years of near daily use. We thought we would give the black one a go. What a fail! Opened the packet last night when it was delivered. Surprised to see it folded in half ( the red ones are packaged flat). Almost toxic smell of rubber filled the kitchen. The black one absolutely STINKS. Unfolded it and noticed the middle wasn't as black as the rest of it but thought it was just the way it's been stored folded. We took it with us this morning and from the first throw it was obvious it wasn't 'flying' like the red one did. It kept turning on its side. I don't proffess to be a champion frisbee flinger, but I can normally throw a pretty good one! 5 throws. That is all we got out of this frisbee. It split and then tore like thin paper. I immediately removed it from our dog ( who as mentioned before has had a red version for 4 years!). This product is falsely marketed as a tough product. our dog isn't a rough player - she has soft toys from when she was 8 weeks old without a mark on them. This frisbee should last more than 10 mins in the park!! I honestly think the white part on the frisbee when opening was a sign of the rubber having perished. I'm normally one of Kongs biggest advocates - being a registered breeder, we always recommend Kong toys to the new families. We have Kong wobblers, Kong classics, airdog, puppy goodie, various sized snugga wubbas, wild knots bears, alligator, signature sticks, jumblers.. we have so many Kong products we should have shares tbh but this has really soured my opinion of the brand.

I’ve bought loads of these but this one is much lower quality. It’s really flimsy. Still great fun but I know it won’t last.

A great Kong product. My dog ( Labrador) absolutely loves this. Perhaps, it does not fly as well as a light weight rigid frisbee but so much safer and virtually indestructable (he does not get to mindless chew this but is not gentle with it)

Es un buen producto. De buena calidad y resistencia, sin embargo se rompe con facilidad. Mi pitbull de 2 años logró romperlo en 1.5 días hahha! No es para perros que muerden fuerte.

2 malinois jouent avec et s'acharne dessus mais toujours aucune faille. Par contre.. vous n'aurez pas de précision comparé à un vrai frisbee, le caoutchouc se déforme facilement donc au lancer.. c'est pas trop ça.
