This was the first gel I bought when I started wearing my hair curly again after more than 10 years of wearing it straight. Since then I have tried a number of different gels & mousses as the penultimate stage in my wash day routine, but I've come right back to this & have bought more. I have found that this gel creates an amazing cast that really protects my curls from frizz as my hair dries, usually naturally, but also if I add some diffusing. {I smooth & scrunch in Cantu Coconut Curl Cream after gently squeezing out some water from my hair using a microfibre towel after washing, then I add this gel & smooth & scrunch it in before leaving my hair to dry} Once I have let my hair dry I scrunch out the cast, adding a couple of drops of jojoba oil to my hands before starting & I am left with beautiful soft, well defined curls that last for days. I'd definitely recommend you try this as the 'gel' stage in you curly hair wash day routine.

Only used it once, it smells great, and feels good on my hair, what I don't get is why they describe it on the container as being tight hold, because it actually leaves your hair soft and non sticky.

I have type 4 low porosity hair. This product leaves my hair feeling slimy but not moisturised. It doesn’t do a great job at reducing frizz, and it doesn’t do well with humidity so my hair shrinks a lot more than when using other curl creams.

Wouldn’t use any other product for my son’s curly hair! Keeps it fresh all day Would recommend

I enjoy the definition and moisture this gives to my very short type 4b hair :). I doubt it would be the same on long hair but certainly one of the better gels for wash and go for type 4s.

Gives a nice sheen but after a few hours a massive halo of frizz. On NO account mix it or use it with the curly cream as you will end up with ascrambled egg type mess in your hair!

Love this for my daughter’s hair! We tried very expensive top brands, different conditioners, hair milk, leave in treatment, and for twice the cost nothing has been as good as this. The only close runners up are Camille Rose and Kinky Curly Curling custard. However, Camille Rose is incredibly expensive and Kinky Curly Curling Custard is very thick and heavy. It defined my daughter’s curls but I had to use it on every single strand and after re-adding it a few days later her hair was really waxy. This Taliah Brand is new for us. I received from a friend and was skeptical at first because I’ve been down this new product road time and time again. But we were blown away. Not only did this make her curls defined, it also was light weight and didn’t cause any build up or flaking. Literally, her hair stayed soft every day. We just part her hair in about 6-8 sections (for 6-8 twists or braids) , wet hair hair with a spray bottle, take a dallop of this stuff and run it through with our fingers (not every single strand either like the kinky curly and her hair doesn’t have to be soaking wet either). We braid it or curl it at night and pull it apart in the morning. Sometimes I touch the morning curls up with a little bit, but this product has definitely made it easy for my daughter to wear her natural curls with pride. If you don’t want to braid or twist, just wet your hair with a spray bottle and finger the product through sections, tease it out a little and the curls should still look good. This is a clear, soft gellish product that does not harden the hair at all. It actually keeps it soft and pretty. Some extra notes and tips about our curly hair journey: My daughter has incredibly dry hair so I started washing her hair with Kera Care detangling shampoo which works very well for moisture and deep condition it with the Mane Choice product line, specifically the deep treatment mask in the black and purple tube and I follow that with the Conditioner. I’ve found that all products in a brand don’t work equally for her hair so I go with what works. We gave up on Shea Moisture a long time ago. The only product I recommend here that works for our family is the Detangling Leave in Conditioner. It is in fact a great Detangler. The other helpful detangler is Its A 10. (I also found that using Chi’s Keratin Oil significantly detangles her hair, but I don’t use it often because of the cost and the long term affects of Keratin on her curls.) I live by the wet brush and a big tooth comb. Trust me, her curls are gorgeous, but super tangly. Even the hair stylist has said she has extremely tangly hair but when you see the curls now, they rarely look as dry and kinky as they used to. I know I went on a tangent but I understand the struggle is real with curly hair. At $7, this one is worth a try and if it doesn’t work for you the first time, try it once more combined with a nice deep treatment of your hair. If it doesn’t work then, hand it over to someone else with curly hair because it might work better for them. Curly hair is unfortunately not created equal! But just remember, no outter covering, like a gel, will work at its full potential if the inner strand of the hair has not been taken care of.

This was my second time ordering this product, and Everytime the packing is always covered in the product due to the lid being opened and spillage of the product. There will also be contamination inside the product due to this. Please try to fix this because I do like the product but if this keeps happening I wouldn't buy it again.

Fabulous product. Hair looks really moisturized and stays in place for a long time. Great for finger curls even in high humidity and heat. Love this product.

2e fois que j'achète ce produit pour mes cheveux bouclés. A appliquer sur cheveux humide généreusement, froisser, laisser sécher et secouer légèrement la tête. Ainsi pas d'effets cartonné et boucles au top! S'utilise aussi comme gel classique si on souhaite.
