Not sure how to measure temperature because there's no thermocouple supplied. My only complaint is that the voltage reading can be a bit slow regardless of the settings. This is quite a versatile meter with capacitance, voltage both AC and DC, current, continuity, resistance and frequency. The probes supplied also feel high quality. It's easy to read too. Very lightweight so has a tendency to be pulled very easily. Despite all this I'd recommend it as for the money the facilities are very good.

For a budget introductory multimeter this meter is very accurate and has many useful functions. Using the meter is a pleasure with the very clear display and intuitive layout of the buttons, It is well built and has proven to be a valuable piece of kit and I would recommend it to any one getting started in electronics or indeed been in the trade for a very long time.

Seems to be good quality so far. I like the option to power/charge from permanent DC supply or USB-C. Only using for DIY purposes, however it matches my decade box and oscilloscope measurements. Nice buy.

Been looking for a 50,000+ count benchtop DMM for a while - this one filled my needs perfectly. Very compact - it reads very accurately against met Brymen BM867S, and the downloaded interface software works fine (although you need to cocnnect via the RS232 over USB option rather than just USB) . So impressed thet I have also bought an XDM1241 as well (the battery powered version - which you can run from ant USB power source) just for variety

This multimeter is a nice size, with a large display for it's small footprint. It also doesn't tip over when you press the buttons. Technically, the bandwidth is little low, but at this price point the portableness is why you are getting it and the built in battery lasts ages. Continuity is fast and configurable from 1-1k but not as fast below the 50ohm range. Buzzer is loud but not bad sounding. AC voltage drops off sharply at 4K not the 1K in the specs at least @ 5V RMS. Meter is accurate @ 5V. As above for current, resistance, and capacitors. The auto range is a little slow as are screen updates between modes. So overall I am very happy with performance.

Getting the software going is a bit tricky all works well display. Stays lit & is big easy to read in low light for us older ones

Avendo la necessità di elaborare dei parametri rilevati a intervalli regolari, ho acquistato questo apparecchio che è in grado di svolere anche la funzione di “Data Logger”. La garanzia della serietà di Amazon, l’occasione di un buon prezzo grazie al Black Friday e la velocità di consegna hanno contribuito a propendere per l’acquisto. Dopo alcuni giorni di utilizzo, con lo scopo di familiarizzare con le varie funzioni dello strumento, credo di essere arrivato al punto di poter valutare le numerose caratteristiche positive e di rilevarne anche una negativa. Lo strumento si colloca in una fascia di caratteristiche e prezzo molto allettanti. Nella prova comparativa penso abbia pochi rivali. Guardando le diverse recensioni e valutazioni sui “Social”, alcune eseguite con professionalità e competenza, mi sono ritrovato in linea, ma ho notato anche la mancanza di interesse sulla possibilità di usare lo strumento come un “Data Logger” in tutti i suoi campi di utilizzo. La precisione comparata dello strumento usato come Tester ha evidenziato una differenza esigua tra i valori registrati da apparecchiature come Agilent, HP, Rohde & Schwarz e l’OWON, per cui potrebbe venir collocato in una fascia superiore. Resta però l’incognita che nel tempo le caratteristiche vengano conservate. Personalmente ho optato per la versione XDM 1241 per motivi di trasportabilità, essendo dotato di batteria interna. La grande autonomia, la facilità di ricarica, anche tramite un POWER BANK, la trasportabilità e la perfetta flessibilità di utilizzo, a mio avviso, lo rendono un jolly. Il punto di forza però è sicuramente la possibilità di memorizzare tutte le funzioni disponibili ed elaborarle secondo le necessità, anche se è registrabile un solo parametro per volta. La dotazione di accessori è buona, ma la qualità non è all’altezza dello strumento. Bisogna però considerare che per la somma di € 142 onestamente non sarebbe possibile pretendere di più. L’unica cosa che ho notato e che ritengo negativa è che nel manuale uso e manutenzione non vengano menzionati i fusibili di protezione delle due entrate amperometriche, né le loro caratteristiche tecniche che sono: Corrente di lavoro (A), potere di interruzione (10 – 20 kA), velocità di interruzione (Flint), tensione di lavoro 1000V e dimensioni (10 x 38 mm). In caso di guasto, diventa difficile reperire fusibili con le medesime caratteristiche ed il loro costo risulta elevato, soprattutto quello per l’entrata per correnti basse (Fusibili per µA e mA). Pertanto sarebbe auspicabile che al momento dell’acquisto ne venisse fornita almeno una coppia di riserva. Per poter sfruttare convenientemente il tester ritengo necessario leggere attentamente il manuale d’uso scaricabile direttamente dal sito del Costruttore poiché la “Guida Rapida” allegata non fornisce un adeguato supporto. Vedere elenco in fondo alla recensione. Per poter scaricare i dati sul PC o per impeghi particolari, come ad esempio programmare il tester per controlli automatizzati di produzione, è necessario scaricare dei manuali e dei programmi idonei. Il Costruttore ha messo a disposizione sul sito tutto l’occorrente per una gestione ottimale dei dati rilevati o per l’utilizzo dello strumento. Con l’installazione del programma per la lettura e il comando del tester tramite PC è emerso che su 2 computer mancavano delle DLL per cui il programma non poteva venir eseguito. Anche in questo caso però sono disponibili info e strumenti adatti a risolvere il problema. Chi fosse interessato a installare il programma per PC o a scaricare il manuale completo o il manuale di programmazione, può trovare l’indirizzo sulla “Quick Guide” allegata allo strumento. Non essendoci file specifici per il singolo modello bisogna scaricare i file per “XDM 1000 Series” Conclusione: La valutazione complessiva è senza dubbio molto positiva. Ritengo che le dimensioni fisiche molto contenute, il design funzionale e di buon aspetto, la leggibilità rendano l’“OWON” un ideale compagno di lavoro. Wäre das Gerät keine bereits erprobte Qualität, würde ich es nicht erneut bestellen für ein meßtechnisches Vorführ- und Programmier-Projekt. Die Geräte können völlig ausreichend mit überteuerten Qualitäts-Digital-Multimetern der westlichen Bauart und deren Prestige-Marken (zu völlig inakzeptablen Preisen) mithalten und haben defakto die selben SCPI-Ansteuer-Protokolle. Es muß also kein Agilent, Tektronix, Fluke, Keithley & Co. sein. Die Chinesen und OWON haben sich hier sehr vorbildlich eine tolle leistbare Alternative für professionelle Heim- und Industrie-Meßtechnik einfallen lassen. Ich selber bin Physik-Ingenieur und wissenschaftlicher Meßtechniker. Wenn einmal aus China kaputte Ware ankommt, so ist das kein Weltuntergang, weil die Chinesen oder die Volksrepublik China zeigen sich hier wiederholt kennen-gelernt (trotz eventuellen Kummunikationsproblemen) dennoch sehr bemüht und kulant. Das zählt ! ! ! Als ich auch einmal ein kaputtes Gerät von Amazon UK zugeschickt bekam, war also nicht die zuvorkom-mende und bemühte Kulanz von OWON oder der Volksrepublik China die akzeptierte Hürde, sondern die etwas unnötige und ungewisse Umtauschbürokratie, Rückerstattung bis zur Bestellung eines Ersatzgerätes via Amazon, weil Amazon UK hier eine Kommunikations- und Kontaktaufnahme-Hürde in Amazon darstellt und somit der Service zwischen dem Kunden und Drittanbieter zum verbesserungs-würdigen Hindernislauf vor Amazon selber wird. Da sind einfach zu viele Instanzen zwischengeschaltet, die für c.a. 14 Tage keinen Direkt-Kontakt ermöglichen... Trotz dieses unnötigen Trouble vor Amazon Großbritannien gab es am Ende mit Zeitverzug über den Dritt-anbieter ein Happy End. Es kann auch passieren, daß Amazon Großbritannien Ware mit klobigen britischen Steckern nach Europa versendet, teilweise unschön, aber das ist kein wirkliches Problem, sollte aber in Europa nicht sein, weil es keinen guten Eindruck hinteräßt (britische Stecker sind ein Kulturschock) ! Ein schneller und beschleunigter Kundenservice vor Amazon UK zum Drittanbieter könnte viele Irritationen im Umtauschfall entschärfen. Nachdem ich nun die ganze kausale Anbieterstruktur in ihrer Kompelexität etwas besser kenne, habe ich volles Qualitätsvertrauen zu OWON und dem Drittanbieter, danke für die Kulanz als kleinen Trost und habe erneut diese Spitzenware (wenn sie kein Umtauschfall ist also Top-Qualität) erneut bestellt. Schließlich wird OWON davon profitieren, da ich die Geräte für ein Lehr-Vorführ-Ausbildungs-Programmier-Projekt bestellte und natürlich damit auch indirekt mit meiner Auswahl eine indirekte Empfehlung für OWON (LABLOOT) deponiere. Deshalb habe ich gewisse Service-Schwierigkeiten bei Amazon zur Verbesserung beauftragt, weil das auch im Interesse von OWON liegt und ein Umtausch oft auch andere Probleme hat, als immer nur das Vorurteil oder Qualitätsthema, was ich hier nicht sehe...
