Ferment to taste
Very nice kimchi. I liked the fact that it arrives early in the fermentation process, so the first taste is fairly mild. Leave it at room temperature for a few days to get it to where you like it, then keep it in the fridge. They suggest a couple of days at room temp, but it's up to you and depends on how cold the room is. I decanted it onto a glass storage container that comfortably took the whole 2kg.

Best Kimchi I’ve had in the UK
I have been yearning for a good kimchi since I moved back to the UK I previously bought it fresh from a Korean owned shop, so unfortunately that was my benchmark. I had tried literally every canned, jarred and pots of kimchi I could find and nothing could quite live up to my local Korea market.Until now! I purchased the 2kg bag, it was delivered within 24 hours and had a sticker that noted that it was a good item, perishable and thus needed to be delivered asap. It came packaged with a frozen water bottle in the box which I thought was a nice touch, better than useless thermal packaging. It was double bagged and there was no leakage.I left it for 3 days in my kitchen, the smell wasn’t as bad as everyone complains but I LOVE kimchi so maybe I’m biased. After the three days I tasted it- OMG it is PERFECT!! And decanted it into two 1L Kilner jars, it fitted them perfectly but I had eaten quite a bit of it by this point!I love kimchi spicy, I would say this one is on the hotter side but not as hot as it could be. If you like your kimchi very mild this probably isn’t for you.

Amazing Kimchi
This is the best made Kimchi I and my daughter have tried yet, and we have tried loads of them. We love it so much that that the 2kg only lasted 2 weeks so I'm buying some more right now 🥰. So if you are a lover of Kimchi don't hesitate to try this one. Thank you Mr Kimchi 🥳🦋 I hope you have a Wonderful Christmas and New Year

Legit
I've been to Korea twice now and this is legitimately identical to the kimchi there. Its spicy, crunchy and the flavour is spot on. I've been looking so hard for authentic Korean foods for years and I've FINALLY got proper kimchi. Happy doesnt even begin to describe how I feel lol I'll definitely be buying more so long as it keeps in the fridge for the next week.

Price increase
This is lovely but why has it bounced from £22 a bag to over £30?!?!

The best real kimchi I've managed to find online so far in the UK
I really like kimchi and it is incredibly good for your body - lots of great nutrients and most importantly friendly bacteria to keep your gut flora in tip top condition. However, not all kimchi brands are created equal and usually I've had to resort to buying chilled kimchi imported directly from Korea which is slightly expensive, not readily available everywhere, and pretty horrendous for the environment to transport all that way as it is heavy, bulky and needs to be refrigerated. To date, I've found UK-made kimchi brands to be somewhat disappointing and sometimes so inauthentic in flavour that they probably shouldn't be allowed to call themselves kimchi! As such, I'm very happy that I found the Mr Kimchi brand (made in South London) as it is the real deal. This is how a lot of proper kimchi actually tastes when you visit Korea! If you don't like the flavour then really kimchi probably just isn't for you as this is a very authentic tasting version (or you are reallllly particular about your kimchi and might want to consider just making your own at home...)One word of warning though - Mr Kimchi sells the product in either small plastic screw-cap containers (which are convenient, but more expensive and a lot of plastic...), OR you can buy in these 2kg bulk bags. The 2kg option still has a not insignificant amount of plastic packaging, but probably less than the plastic containers and it's a fair bit cheaper too. But as kimchi keeps fermenting the longer you keep it and particularly based on warmth and additional exposure to air, I highly recommend that you portion out the bag into a few airtight containers and store it in the fridge. (But only after you have left it out - still sealed in its plastic bag packaging - overnight after delivery - as per the instructions from Mr Kimchi when you receive the kimchi).Enjoy on its own, or in various recipes such as kimchi fried rice or omelette! Delicious!

Real, proper Kimchi without too much salt, so very good for you too
Very well packaged, very cold on arrival. Decanted well into jars. Great spice, huge bits of cabbage and veg, great crunch. I was buying Kim Kong Kimchi, but way too much salt in it, not good when looking after your heart and blood pressure, this stuff is just perfect, will defo buy again.

Only salty.
I’m Korean. Due to Covid-19, I’m not able to go to Korean supermarket where is 2hours away from home, I ordered this Kimchi with desperate feeling. Guys, Kimchi shouldn’t be this salty. After 9days I received now, it’s still only salty and not harmonized with any other flavours. Pretty dissappointed with flavour now i need to think about how can I eat this 2kg cabbage.Good thing is packed very well, quick delivery. It could be be better if you had not chopped the cabbage.
