I love this little piece of kit, but as other reviewers have mentioned, you will need modifiers to get it to fit well with other lighting setups as the colour temp is quite cool. It is a well made, tough, lightweight piece of kit.Be aware that when you buy this, the quick setup guide will tell you that there should be items other than what is in the box, in the box. According to the QSG there should also be a mod frame for mounting the softening diffuser and warming gel come supplied, alongside a camera mount. I contacted customer service about this and they said that this is correct and the listing states that only the cube and the USB-C cable come in the package. They have said that they will get the listing updated to make this more obvious.I am really pleased with the item but also disappointed that I haven't got the things the box said should be in it.

You will need the lighthouse and the CTO tungsten filters to use this light if you want to use them with other lights in a set-up. The lightest of their tungsten lee filters brings the cutting 6000+ kelvin temp down. To how much? I will need to borrow my gaffer friends color meter to determine it, but it roughly matches now. And I will probably buy another one, or three, because yes, for the size they give you possibilities larger lights can't, they are the ultimate "B" light, but to replace a decent set of panels in your travel kit bag, you'll need more: 2 or 4. All with lighthouses and tungsten CTO filters. Until they make a softbox for these, use a shoot through unbrella or an optical fabric to soften the hard light. Cant wait until the next generation with a 5600 95+ CRI, slightly bigger throw and battery. I'd pay more for that.

Yeah- i drink a little in the evenings, and watched a really great youtube video, where a professional cool looking photographer used one of these, and it made his photos look epic. So i 'thought' i'd ordered this bad boy, turns out I'd actually only ordered the lighting box that this thing sits in, and the 4 different coloured filters, and the 3 defusers, and the 2 different textured filters, ergo I had to order this actual light and it's a bloody rip off when you look at it really, i'm it does have '10 different light levels' but i'm a bloody soldier what the hell do i need all this for??(My wife is going to be so mad when she seens how much i spent on all this- ironically she is a photographer, but hse's not cool enough to have this).

What an amazing piece of kit.The 10 stages of brightness help you find the right level for your subject.Absolutely no flicker when filming slo mo on my iPhone or GoPro at 240 fps.Can not recommend enough.

This is as most others describe. The beam is fairly even and certainly bright. I'm not sure about the colour rendition but I'm sure it'll be fine for most users. It's not useful as a dive light because of the (impressively) wide beam spread.What really annoys me about this product is that they have "copied" GoPro's packaging which means unnecessarily large amounts of paper but more importantly plastic. I'd assume that most users of this product would be "eco aware" and these people are the intended market? I'd have hesitated to buy this product had I realised how it was packaged.I'm no crazy hippy but please encourage all your friends to criticise all unnecessary packaging, especially plastic, in all reviews and in life.

great light, battery life not brilliant

Expensive but a quality product. Battery life is excellent quality of build is top quality a sturdy product

Bright and good for tight spaces. Hideous colour though with emphases on the greens and blues. Not great if you intend to match with other daylight balanced light sources. Also, mine started flashing on a video shoot which wasn't great... not sure if it was the battery dying but I plugged it in and it still flashed. Why isn't there a battery meter on the light?
