Q: Does this mat offer good sound absorption? I'm in a 2nd floor flat and don't want to annoy downstairs?

I think that yes, it has a very good density, more than the others mats. Definitely, I think it absorbs sounds very well.

Q: Forgot to ask....is it ok to use with trainers?

Yes - fine with trainers but the mat is quite thick and soft. So you might see an imprint of the trainer n the mat that will quickly fade. It's not really designed for jumping on with trainers. Moe for Yoga, Pilates, stretching, floor work etc (with or without trainers)

Q: Does this mat have a strong smell?

It has a distinct I am new Foam smell, but after a few weeks it was gone. I would not say strong, seems too strong a word. (sorry the pun)I will say this, it is incredibly thick, firm lush. I love it, so would recommend it.

Q: What is the best product to use to cleanse/sanitise this mat please?

Hi, I use baby wet wipes because they're easy to put in your kit bag. If just for home use, warm soapy water on a flannel ( well wrung out ) will do the job but make sure the mat is dry before rolling. Good luck.
