I am not sure of the exact size of the cut out but the grill flange sits inside of the speaker box.

Yes, you should be able to connect these to your RV stereo. Make sure you have room if you are installing these in a wall or ceiling. These are just speakers with an enclosed rear chamber, and will behave like any other speaker.
