Donald Duck receives a birthday package from South America, and the film proceeds to unravel like some peyote-induced hallucination. It starts out reminiscent of other Disney films, where shorts are cobbled together, such as "Make Mine Music" or "Fun and Fancy Free". The film has vignettes such as "The Cold-blooded Penguin" and "The Flying Guachito". After them it careens into part-travelogue, part-stream-of-consciousness animation. Not helping out much are Donald's "friends": Joe Carioca (a parrot) and Panchito (a rooster). They spend most of the rest of the film watching Donald chase skirt. That's right, Donald Duck is a wolf in this movie, and he chases every live-action señorita who bustles across the screen. Although some will say otherwise, Caballeros is for die-hard Disney, Donald or psychedelia fans only. --Keith Simanton, desertcart.com Review: Thank you - Thank you for girl love dvd Review: Great film Good copy onto dvd - Classic film from Disney one from my childhood a good copy on the dvd i highly recommend

Ondle Muchacos!
Great fun that fairly takes one back! It's also interesting in the way it shows the USA's fondness for all things Latin American at that time.

Birds of paradise
Although not widely discussed, The Three Caballeros stands as one of Disney's triumphs. Three birds, Des, Victor and Graham decide to take a trip to the island of Patuguana. Here, wildlife roams free, and all creatures are friends. There are many poignant musical numbers. 'Ballad of the Oozlum Bird' is devastatingly beautiful, sung in baritone and accompanied by a chorus of mournful-sounding buzzards. A similar film came out at the time, 'The Birds Beyond Time', so I hope I don't have the films confused.

Remember this as a child
I couldnt believe that I found this! I have been describing this film to people for years and no-one believed me. I saw it in infant school every christmas and it formed a subconcious love of samba. Its a little like an acid trip in rio so god knows what other subconcious thoughts were planted. Watch it, its a trip.

oldie but goodie
I know its old, but its one I remember from being young, well a lot younger and my old copy died a death, so I wanted to replace it as its still popular with the young ones.

Disney's South American Cartoons
A compilation of stories held together by a Brazillian/Mexican theme when Donald receives birthday gifts which provide him with amunition to visit South America with his friend Joe Carioca, via two integral stories - Pablo the Penguin and Little Gauchito the flying donkey. A magic carpet ride takes Donald and Joe into a book to Brazil and the film becomes something of a travelog with animation cleverly blended into it. Next stop is Mexico with musical fantasy and combined animation with a new friend, Panchito (a Mexican charro rooster). A highlight of the movie is the 'Three Caballeros' song full of wild, very fast moving animation gags and vivid colour. Some quite ground breaking effects are featured, very lively animated and live action dance numbers. Released in 1945, it's a very lively and clever piece of animation of its day.

I gusti..comunque consigliabile a tutti
