Versatile inputs; respectable audio, volume
First, this applies to PBKSR40WT and I want to address some inaccuracies of the listing. First off, for it's size, the audio quality and volume are good. These are not tiny speakers and thus are able to build a pleasing, full rich sound. I'm not looking for thump and speakers this size really cannot deliver much of that. I've had speakers in this price range that seemed to sound painful. These are pleasing with a totally respectable blending of higher and lower frequencies, performing above their price class in many ways. The ones I picked have separate bass and treble controls. They are effective but I wouldn't push them too much as I was able to get a bit of over modulation on some Bluetooth audio. Really, you probably won't need to tweak them much. On the back is an "EQ" button to pick between three modes. Voice emphasizes the midrange, Music for full range and Movie which has a "stereo separation expander" effect which I personally do not care for. Music setting is it. I have not tested the optical input but there was a standard optical audio cable included. The RCA coax input did perform just fine. The Volume is a rotary encoder. There is no physical minimum / maximum. I would prefer the hard limits but it is what it is. The remote is fine but personally don't need it. Just be aware that batteries are not included. A nice feature are the heavy rubber feet. The set speaker at a nice angle for desktop use and seem to be effect at preventing movement. On the back is a port that goes to an internal tube. It's not just a hole. I turned it up and the port doesn't seem to produce any port noises there. The case is a white rounded case with just enough heft. Tweeter and mid-bass are protected by METAL grilles (no fabric as the description indicates). They are an interesting design choice was to recess the mid-bass grill. At first, I thought it was pushed in during manufacturing but it is a design choice. Thinking about it, this is probably more durable if only for consistent appearance. Still, a good idea. The listing showed something about a tiny 1.5V 1.3 Ah battery with up to two hour life expectancy. This is another error in the description. There is no battery power, and besides, a battery with that spec would be useless with a speaker of this size. Speaking of power, the supplied 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz power adapter outputs 21 VDC at up to 1500 mA. The adapter is UL listed. So, I like the speakers and will likely pick up a few more for various purposes. There is another similar one on Amazon but note that those do not have the Bass and Treble controls. BT recommended

Super solid value from a solid company.
Excellent value and functionality, a quality product from a company with a good history and reputation. The styling is a bit unusual but the enclosure is really solid and the cushioned feet are grippy. The sound is heavy on the low end, so if you’re an audiophile an equalizer is advised. Perfect for condo living, these get pretty loud but not insanely so. The remote does its job well, and Bluetooth connection is simple, and the audio optical cord makes the connection to the video so simple.

Wanted this for Zoom audio, it works.
For the price and what I'm using it for, Zoom, it fits the bill and I only need one speaker. I will use, from the 3 EQ settings, the music setting and use the bass and treble to contour of the sound. The movie and dialog is not really an EQ, it is DSP which adds slight amounts of delay and reverb to the sound. Being a recording engineer, this is irritating because you are distracting from the master mix of professionals. I like the sound. It doesn't over emphasize the bass. It has clarity. They are small and rugged enough to take to on the road meetings. They have plenty of connectivity and love the remote. The only other issue is the listing in the specs. It says Litheum battery lasts for 2 hours. What! There is no battery only a 21v power adapter. It would have been nice to have back power covered in case there is no power.

Holy smokes! Excellent addition to my Roland Cube monitors!
The speakers are gorgeous and punch way above their weight. The build quality is excellent, they have rubber feet on the bottom to absorb the shock from the bass The frequency response is good, almost studio grade if they had a flat EQ. I bought these to EQ audio on and they sound crazy good compared to my $800 set of Roland Cute CM-220 2.1 monitor speakers, which are hybrid PA/monitor speakers with a good sub and coaxial SPDIF input. The Pyle speakers are very loud and you could use them for DJ both monitors with a small PA. The EQ settings on the speakers aren't too much either. I do wish it had a flat EQ rather than a dialog EQ and that it did not start up in Movie mode because it has an echo and I've never wanted that, ever, not even a single second of my life have I ever wanted fake big room sound for movies. I also use Logitech Z313 2.1 speakers to EQ on because those are the kinds of speakers that regular people listen to your products on and you can EQ the bass proper on cheap 2.1 systems, but I needed a set of speakers with no sub. I'm splitting the audio using my PC's optical output running into an optical TOSLink splitter, which runs to the Pyle and Roland speakers (using an optical TOSlink to coaxial converter, or you can get a DAC with TOSLink). These Pyle speakers really make my CM-220 speakers sound much more full, maybe as good as 8-inch monitor speakers. Both speakers are missing some frequencies, and combined they sound amazing. There is no loss in audio quality or latency with an optical splitter. With these speakers the way these class D amplifiers work you really really want to use either digital or Bluetooth and they sound excellent, so I'm stoked they have both optical and coaxial inputs.

Bring on the noise!
Absolutely the best desk speakers I have used, they are loud when turned up and the remote works wonders. I am so glad to have found these speakers and love that they were easy to install. If you’re looking for an inexpensive choice for some desk speakers and won’t sacrifice quality, these are for you!
