Q: What is the guarantee on this product?

I don't know I sent mine back it was too heavy to use and the steam was not very good,

Q: Is it safe for laminate floors?

It depends on the construction and glue of the laminate. Ask the manufactures.

Q: I rang Polti who make this steam cleaner, they said I musnt use any other liquid in it as it invalidates warranty! £17 a bottle for the deodoriser!

I personally just use distilled water. It steams well and I only use this on hard floors. The cloths I use on the machine I change regularly and hot wash these in the washing machine. Always get a nice fresh smell. Hope this helps you.
