I snapped my ACL in my mid 20s. I am now 67. I was then given an ACL repair and decades later, after the repair snapped, I got a full knee replacement. I have worn many the braces over the decades. This particular brace is comfortable, supportive and easy to put on. I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this product deserves five stars and if like me you have suffered over the years I just wanted to give you the benefit of my experience.

Recommended by a friend, this is superb! I twisted my right knee about 2 years ago playing badminton and was unable to play for over a year. Then I got this and it had helped me get back to what I love. Although my knee is currently not hurting, I have hyper-mobility, especially in my right knee, meaning it can move too much in the joint. This brace gives my knee much needed stability so I can continue to play badminton with the confidence that it won't twist and tear again!

After months of great pain and swelling made worse each time I walked, I decided to try this knee brace. I needed a brace which prevented my knee from twisting and from going too far to the rear (ovet extending). I am fat. I have fat thighs. I wad worried that the brace wouldn't fit. It does fit with a good length on tube straps to spare. The brace is very comfortable and having worn it 24hrs a day for a week both at rest and waking born on the flat, up and down steep hills and on stairs I can say I have found a relief from both pain and swelling. The brace stops both twisting and overt extension when worn tight enough. One grumble is that though overall the materials and construction is good one of the pockets for the hinge was not stitched correctly and the hinge doesn't quite sit right. You have to wear a skirt or really baggy trousers/jeans if you want to conceal the brace. Overall very pleased.

Hello :) I recently had a very nasty injury to my lower left knee (known as a lower plateau injury) I also snapped and tore my cruciate ligaments - fore and aft, and also fractured my tibia and fibula. My lower left knee is held together with custom brackets and screws. Basically, I walk on only half a lower knee joint, and as a result my lower left leg is now angled about 10 degrees to the left as I look forward. Walking is excruciatingly painful, and without a brace my lower left leg - as well as moving fore and aft, can also move left to right. There is not much holding it on. The brace/s I have been supplied with from the hospital and physios ALL have their merits, but in my case major problems. I have tried 6 (Yes, six) different braces, but they do not help me, or do not work for my particular injury or are just too cumbersome or painful to wear. I, or rather my wife found this (NEO G Stabilized Hinged Open Knee Support) and it is just WONDERFUL! BTW, there are 3 different type, so choose the right one. I use the brace type with the aluminium hinged left and right stabilizers. Being aluminium, I can bend/adjust the contours of the supports to EXACTLY fit the profiles of my leg (either side). I have had significant muscle wastage, so the normal straight profile does not work for me, but is easy to bend and adjust to exactly fit my leg shape. The two metal braces are easy to remove so one can wash the brace body/material. The velcro straps are strong, but not SO strong as to be hard to adjust. I have purchased 6 (SIX) of these now (and I will purchase more no doubt), and they are SIMPLY PERFECT for me. Of course, perfection would mean not having had the injury in the first place, but honestly - for me - these braces are heaven sent!!!! I wear three in succession, so they can be washed and freshened - anyone who constantly wears a brace will know what I mean. Well done, and thank you NEO G®!!!! .... I can walk, and know that the braces are helping to stabilize and hold my leg on and in place, and when I fall - and I do frequently - the brace supports my knee left and right and has saved me on loads of occasions. To begin with the support was ok but after a couple of weeks of wearing the stitching came undoabove the hinged support section. I have now stitched it up twice

I have Degenerative change to the medial joint compartment on my right knee and hoped it would help. Unfortunately it didn’t, I have swapped back to a support for under the knee cap. Be aware these items can’t be returned once opened so be sure it’s for you

I have a long history of problems with knees, hips and feet. I'm about to have an operation that will make me keep my left foot off the ground for six months, leaving me to hop around on crutches and my right leg only. And it's just at this point that the fibula in my right knee decides to dislocate and play up. I have a few weeks to sort it out or I'll be stuck, completely immobile. In desperation I decided to buy this fairly heavy duty knee brace but I didn't hold out much hope for a miracle cure. Ordering and delivery were swift, easy and the brace arrived much more quickly than I had expected. OK, now this is the part where I sound like the 'stooge' at a faith healer show. I wore this brace for one full day and I really felt the benefit. It did feel very bulky and distinctly odd and I realised that I hadn't positioned it perfectly on this first outing. But the real surprise was when I got home at the end of the day and took it off. My weak knee felt 50 times better than it had that morning. And it didn't wear off; I felt a real and permanent improvement. So, next morning, I was a bit more careful about positioning it just right and it felt much more comfortable and less obtrusive all day. That night there was a further improvement. Now I know that this doesn't count as a 'miracle cure' but, boy, am I impressed! To be clear; I don't have a debilitating injury and I think that I just needed a bit of proper support to help my knee heal itself and, for that, this knee brace has performed brilliantly. Although one of the more up market braces (heavier and with metal hinges), the cost pales into insignificance compared to what it has done to help me. And it won't exactly beak the bank in the first place. I have read reviews saying that, after a while, you don't notice that you're wearing it. Well that hasn't been true for me and, on me, it is pretty bulky, but that's a tiny compromise for getting my mobility back and ridding myself of the constant and nagging ache in my knee. I've had this particular knee injury for more than four months and it just wasn't getting any better. There may be other products out there that do the same thing, possibly more cheaply; I don't know because I haven't tried anything but this. What I can say is that this brace really, really, worked (and continues to work) for me and, as fully paid up cynic, I'm amazed!
