D'Addario EXL140-3D Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, Light Top/Heavy Bottom, 10-52, 3 sets

I entered the "Players Circle Code" into the D'Addario website thingy and it registered my purchase fine! On to the strings themselves. I write as a guitarist of over 50 years experince on the semi-pro circuit. I have used Ernie Ball and Rotosound in the past but I am definitely going to stick with D'Addario now they are available on Amazon at a sensible price. With a lovely bright sound, these strings have a decent life before they eventually go off. I am using these 10-52 sets on a guitars detuned a whole tone and they still have the right amount of tension, don't get flabby and allow massive bends! Highly recommended!

I chose these because I trust D'Addario strings to be high quality and because they last long and sound good. These strings completely ticked all the boxes. I would recommend buying this for D to C tuning. E and B are okay, but E may feel stiff and B may be too loose. Just my opinion though. Also, for any new guitarists wanting to play heavy strings and tune down to B for that extra brutal sound, please take note of the width of the string and the gap you're going to put it in.

These truly are the strings of kings. Hardwearing, easy on the fingers, and with a bright, warm sound that puts Ernie to shame. I find 10-52 to be the most versatile, as they have enough weight to handle downtuning, while also being light enough for bending and soloing. Significant savings to be had when buying them in a 3 pack also!

I loved my cheap strat copy but the strings were a slight let down, however these sound fantastic and I can really get that Hank Marvin tone and Buddy Holly Sound with these plus they take a lot of punishment and very rarely break, very reliable brand I been using for years. 3 sets in a pack is fantastic value too. They last well too I only have to change them once per 2-3 months at the rate of an hours playing a day and the odd gig here and there. Recommended

I got these strings for my brother, as a Christmas present. They are just what he asked for and said they're good, the only reason it got 4 stars is because at first Amazon sent me nylon strings for a classic guitar, having said that the returns process was easy and painless. I'm sure it was a one off mistake anyway.

I consider myself a predominantly rhythm player. I was looking for strings that could pair nicely with my PRS (25" scale) and have a good tension for Drop D tuning. After trying various sets, I settle on this one. The 52 for the low D feels very good, and having more tension on the strings means I get tighter sounds. I am lucky enough that I don't sweat much, and it doesn't corrode the strings fast. For this reason, the strings remain usable for a month/two with good sound. If you sweat a lot, or if your sweat is highly acidic, these might not be for you. Overall I'm very happy with the performance of the strings, and having the 3-pack means I'm saving on each set, which is always nice! I would highly recommend these strings if you play in similar conditions to mine. If you mainly stay in standard E, I would go with 9-46!

D'addario make the best strings in my opinion, they're the best quality, and seem to last forever before i break a string, these heavier gauges are excellent for playing anything in the heavier spectrum, and for a 3 pack the price is awesome

Ich habe die D'Addario EXL140 auf meine Ibanez AS93-VLS aufgezogen, nachdem mich ein anderes Saitenset klanglich enttäuscht hat – und was soll ich sagen: sofort ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht! Der Klang ist brillant, lebendig und ausgewogen, genau wie ich es von meiner Gitarre kenne und liebe. Auch das Spielgefühl ist angenehm – nicht zu hart, nicht zu weich. Für mich sind diese Saiten ab sofort die erste Wahl. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Wert auf einen dynamischen und klaren Sound legen!

I usually use .010-.046 on my electrics, but wanted a thicker, slightly stiffer, bottom end for my semi hollow body guitars because I like the tone and feel better for jazz and neo soul. Been using Daddario for decades and although tried other brands here and there, these just work. Their quality and reliability are stellar. I highly recommend this brand and these strings.

Corde ottime, io le ho uso per suonare black metal su di una ESP EC 1000 drop d Tengono ottimamente l'accordatura drop e se ben pulita hanno un'ottima durata. Sopo un uso intensivo di tremolo picking non soffrono. CONSIGLIATE

3 jeux d'Addario à un prix intéressant. La qualité des cordes d'Addario est au RDV. Par contre je déteste l'emballage du jeu entier avec les cordes tressées deux par deux, mais c'est un détail.
