Bestway Flowclear solar pool heater for filter systems, Clean Sun Powered Pool Pad, black, 110 x 171 cm

I have two of these set up for our pool that holds about 6500 L. We have a timer set to run the pump 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off, from first thing in the morning, and I have to say, it’s not far off the electric heater we usually run (didn’t want the cost given he current utility bills!). Don’t expect miracles, and you obviously need the sun, but if definetly isn’t far off the electric heater, and with zero running costs.Update: running it 15 minutes on 15 minutes off, to give the water time to warm up, pool temp was 29c by mid-late afternoon.

The solar heating pad does a job.There is only one issue with the size. It appears to be incorrect. It meant be 1.1m by 1.7m but when you measure is 1.1m by 1.4m. I hope I will receive some explanation from the seller.

The media could not be loaded. My husband set this up as I couldn’t figure out how to do it from the instructions. Hopefully the video will help you work it out ! We just had to do it quick and avoid too much spillage as our filter was already set up.If you turn the filter on after it’s been off and sat in the sun for a while you can feel warm water coming into the pool but if you have it on for a while it doesn’t feel that warm. It definitely works but my pool is quite big so I probably would need two but we don’t have a lot more room! Takes the edge off but the kids still need to wear wetsuits and it was the heatwave of 27’c today so don’t expect a miracle.Was it worth the money? Yes but I probably should have looked at slightly more expensive smaller ones as it is going to be a pain to stick it to the fence next week. Dogs have been treading on it and no leaks and it feels like good quality.

Tried all summer. Water doesnt heat up

Not the greatest quality but it certainly works to heat up the water in our 12’ above ground pool by up to 4 degrees (I also purchased a thermometer to validate if it was actually doing anything) on a sunny day and around 2 degrees on more average days.Observations:1. It was really easy to attach2. Did the job3. Does take quite a bit of space4. The mat appears reasonably robust but the pipes were thinner than the ones I got with the pump and one needed replacing

Took the chill off the pool after few hours not had enough sun to give any more but I was thinking to buy a second one

No discernable difference. The water is still freezing.

Needs a couple of sunny days to work but certainly helps make a difference in conjunction with sun cover on top of pool was able to get into pool earlier in the day, around lunch time, probably best to have 2 to warm up quicker.
