not comprehensive enough for RHS l2
Interesting book, however it does not cover everything you need for RHS level 2 certificates. Some of the info is not clearly signposted so you may spend ages looking for some parts.

I recommend it.
Lovely book, much more in depth than my RHS Level 2 course book, with very clear explanations. I recommend it.

Surprisingly disappointing
I feel a bit nervous to give a critical review to this book which I in fact bought because the other reviews were so brilliant. I am a student of RHS level 2 certification and I hoped this book had a good coverage of the whole syllabus. The book is very beautiful and covers the syllabus in fact, but it does it in too a superficial way for me to be used in my studies. It is also written in a way that, at least for me, after having read a chapter, have the sense nothing was passed. Very discorsive and meandering ... In the end I decided to cut the loss and buy "A Handbook for Horticultural Sudents" by Peter Dawson. This latter is said to have errors, but it is packed with exactly the information required for the exams in a very efficient format. I need to specify that I used the book for the second part of the exam concerning garden planning, vegetables and fruit growing, protected crops and plant selection. I hope this can be of help for someone similar to me. Massimo

I haven't finished this book but so far so good and I already learned a lot just from reading 4 chapters of it. It is really good for beginners. If you want to understand more about plants and how they work, this is a good book to start with.

This is a great book. Get a lot more information and extension on the course I have been doing.

I was expecting this to take a bit but I received it five days early! I’ve seen past reviews about creases in covers or pages, mine has the faintest faintest crease in the bottom right corner of cover, but I don’t even care I am so so so happy, definitely brand new! Thank you so much :)
