This is the third time I've tried to put up this review - it keeps getting rejected. So I'll be succinct: Alexa Almond skill is not available in the UK at the time of writing this review. This means that none of the Alexa integration works. Therefore, despite the product description, it does NOT currently work with Alexa. So - if you buy this right now - you won't have any Alexa functionality.It says 'works with Alexa' - but right now - it does not. When some one asked about this functionality for the UK back in October 2016, the Securifi response was "Not yet, we have already sent the request for approval and waiting for them to approve it, which could happen any time now."That was October last year. There is still no native Alexa support.This gets one star, because I bought this for the Alexa support. Therefore, it has failed my main purpose - and it is misleading.If I am wrong - please tell me. Otherwise, please do not reject my review again.

I really like the device itself. The touchscreen is surprisingly good and the user interface is nice to use. I was happy with it until I went to use my YouView box. No Internet-provided channels. I went to use the BBC iPlayer on the same box and I got audio but no video. Tried my Now TV box and also no channels. The Almond+ doesn't work with UK IPTV services out of the box. It may be possible to get them working via the OpenWRT interface, but the expertise needed to do it is beyond me.I don't know how the Almond+ box performs as an access point or range extender, but as a router it's useless if you want to access IPTV services.

Bought to replace an aging Netgear WNDR3700. Massively improved the reach of our WIFI, I can now connect on the 5Ghz band in our 3rd floor bedroom, where before we'd struggle to connect to the 2.4Ghz band!This is extremely easy to get set up as a router, you can actually do it all from the touch screen on the router which is very user friendly. Use the same SSIDs and passwords as your old WIFI router and your devices will all connect instantly. If you want more features however, they're also available as advanced settings, with everything from FTP and Samba server, DLNR to a VPN server. With 2 USB 3 ports you can easily attach a printer, external hard drive etc, and share on your network.Comes with a decent length of flat CAT6 ethernet cable to connect it to your modem, PSU with a choice of UK or EU attachments, a clip on stand and everything (apart from a drill) that you'd need to mount it on a wall.

it has failed within 6 months - kept dropping the signal. I used it as a range extender, and it did that perfectly, for three months. After that, it would keep disconnecting from the main hub. Securifi do not have a UK based resolution. You have to go online and connect to their live talk tech team. They are very lovely, polite and get you confident (once you know what is needed to be done) to use your machine.I have spent the better part of three hours trying to get it to work with the live talk tech team, and more than that previously resetting and restarting the unit.At the moment, I am running it in WAN - so hoping it has resolved the issues that the extender flagged on a daily basis.spend the money if you want, but not sure it is really worth it, until they come up with a reliable solution to a promise that fails.

I needed to boost my wifi signal on the ground floor in our house as a dLink router wasn't powerful enough to cover my whole house. The Almond is very easy to setup as once powered on I plugged in my LAN cable and it picked up my wifi after entering my username and password. I haven't used this as a router as this isn't what I wanted it for, this is purely being used as a booster/repeater for my wifi connection. Everything downstairs has a powerful signal once this was installed. It has a couple of lan sockets so you can connect an 8 port switch to it and manage all your connections. As my home is fully cable networked I wanted to have a better signal for my smart tablets/phones and I knew a powerline adaptor wasn't going to cut it - mainly because most of them drop connection and they can interfere with amplifiers and potentially picture quality on high end AV products (from what I have read. So the Almond was the perfect choice. If you want a 5Ghz connection then go for the more powerful, more expensive, model but bear in mind 5Ghz is more powerful but the signal reach is lower than a 2.4Ghz.One constructive criticism is it doesn't have any small holes on the side to mount on a wall! Perhaps they will consider this in the future.The touchscreen operation shows a beta option for weather and the time but we don't bother with that as don't really see much point in a living room - note that majority of the touch screen functions don't work when using as a repeater as the majority of the touch screen options are for router use.. There is a bright white light on the front to show you are connected.The packaging and instructions are clear.Overall I feel this is a fantastic product and would easily recommend to family and friends if they ever wanted to boost their wifi in their homes.

I would not recommend this product to anyone, The first one i received had a fault and would not detect anything, the second one i received as a replacement works very well and has sensitivity control and time settings, unfortunately every one hour it automatically detects something (refresh?) not sure what but every hour it will tell me there is movement in my porch, and i know there isn't ive tried it in all sorts of settings/rooms but still every hour it detects something, therefore making it useless as i do not know if it is a false detection or a real one.I did a little research after trying everything to resolve this issue and i have found that i am not the only one who has these issues, i believe almost everyone gets a false detection every hour, it is on the amazon.com website, and also on the smart things forums and i am actually using it with my Almond+ router. IF anyone has a solution please let me know about it.

Einfach ein Spitzen Produkt. Super schnell eingerichtet und sehr übersichtlich . Funktioniert Perfekt und als Repeater sehr gut geeignet. Es wäre schön wenn sich da noch was am Hintergrund tun würde sogenannten Themes. Weil nur schwarz ist da etwas langweilig. Auch Verschiedene Uhren wären noch zur Auswahl Perfekt. Ist zwar für manche unnütze Spielereien aber ich würde mich drüber freuen . Bin bis jetzt super zufrieden und könnte noch welche davon gebrauchen . Am liebsten wäre mir noch ein flächenfüllendes Touch Display, also so gross wie das Gerät selbst . Auch wenn es dadurch teurer werden würde ,das wäre mir egal . Das ist für mich der Beste Router Repeater usw was ich je hatte . Top. Gruß Mike

Nutze das Gerät als Access-Point und als Steuergerät fuer einige Hue-Lampen sowie 3 Sensoren (Tür, Wasser) und ein paar schaltbare Steckdosen von Osram - läuft wunderbar.App läuft auch wunderbar, auch Zusammenspiel mit Amzon Echo funktioniert.

Der Almond WLAN Router ist bei mir als solcher im Einsatz und verrichtet seinen Dienst klaglos. Das besondere am Almond ist sicher das schöne Design, das man sonst eher von Produkten der Schmiede mit dem angebissenen Kernobst kennt. Weiterhin sind die vielfältigen Funktionen erwähnenswert, neben der Funktion Wlan Router auch Repeater und die Bridgefunktion, bei der Geräte min LAN-Anschluß über den Almond mit dem WLAN verbunden werden, eine Kabelverbindung vom Endgerät zum Router machts möglich.Erwähnenswert sind der Touchpanel mit dem mitgelieferten Stift, die eine komfortable Bedienung ermöglichen. Es gibt noch weitere Gimmicks, so lassen sich im Ruhezustand auf dem Display Uhrzeit oder Wetter (beides wird über das Web aktualisiert) anzeigen.Alles in allem ein Gerät das ich so wieder kaufen würde und uneingeschränkt weiterempfehle.Das es mit Lieferzeit und Verpackung von Amazon keinen Anlass zu Beanstandungen gab, soll hier nicht unerwähnt bleiben, das setze ich aber als unabdingbar voraus.

Ich habe mir diesen Router aufgrund der sehr guten Rezensionen in Sachen Reichweite gekauft.Wir hängen hier am Glasfasernetz der Stadtwerke und müssen daher deren Kabel-Modems verwenden. Diese sind nicht sehr gut, was die Reichweite und Stabilität des Wlans angeht. Daher wurde dieses Gerät hier angeschafft, um, am Kabel-Modem hängend, das Wlan zu erzeugen.Installation und Geräte-Anmutung sind sehr gut, keine Frage.Jedoch kommen von den direkt am Modem gemessenen 50MB keine 3MB an, sobald man EINEN Raum weiter geht. Bauliche Gründe kann ich ausschliessen, da ich mittlerweile einen anderen Wlan Router gekauft habe, der auch noch zwei Stockwerke höher auf über 20MB kommt.Fazit: Hübsches Gerätchen, leicht zu installieren aber (für uns) als Wlan Router völlig unbrauchbar. Direkt am Modem kann ich auch ein Kabel nehmen, mit Wlan möchte ich Distanzen überbrücken. Dies leistet dieses Produkt nicht.

Ob man das Gerät wirklich in 3 Minuten zum Laufen bringt kann ich bis heute nicht sagen, Fakt ist aber, daß es fast ohne PC konfigurierbar ist. Eigentlich brauche ich den PC nur zum Anlegen des Accounts.Die Reichweite des Signals ist sehr gut (immer im Vergleich zu anderen Routern mit WLAN). Ich habe den Kauf bisher nicht bereut und gebe eine klare Kaufempfehlung selbst unter dem Aspekt, daß das Gerät vergleichsweise teuer ist.

Après 2 ans d’utilisation je suis très satisfait par ce routeur wifi qui remplit parfaitement son usage.Il remplace et sécurisé certes le wifi de moins bonne qualité de ma box, mais surtout grâce aux super capteurs Securifi achetés je suis alerté en temps réel des ouvertures de portes, baies et fenêtres via l’appli sur mon téléphone. Comme ma boîte aux lettres est à une dizaine de mètres, j’en ai placé aussi un pour les colis ! La pile des capteurs dure environ 6 mois. Je n’utilise pas d’autres objets connectés mais il en existe toute une gamme de différents fabricants (prises, innondation, caméras, serrures, mouvements, thermostats,...)Ce qui est vraiment un plus avec ce système c’est que vous décidez précisément des scénarios et de la façon dont les alertes sont déclenchées, dans mon cas lors que aucun téléphone n’est plus connecté au wifi de ma box Almond+, ce qui correspondrait à une mise en route manuelle d’un système d’alarme conventionnel. Sauf que là vous n’avez pas à y penser car cela se fait automatiquement.J’ai aussi chois cette solution innovante pour son prix modique, et je la recommande. De plus les mises à jour du logiciel interne le rendent évolutif dans le temps.

Cosa mi è piaciuto?Quando funziona fa perfettamente quello che deve fare, nel mio caso ripetere il segnale wifi.Cosa non mi è piaciuto?Si spegne lo schermo, resta acceso ma non funziona più, va in blocco.Il problema serio è che non c'è modo di avere assistenza. Ho anche provato a scrivere all'assistenza della securifi ma non ho ottenuto alcuna risposta.Per utilizzarlo quando si blocca mi tocca staccare l'alimentazione e riaccenderlo

Ich nutze den Almond+ um ein SmartHome System zu Hause aufzubauen. Bislang habe ich 12 LED Deckenleuchten über Zigbee damit verbunden und es funktioniert alles wie es soll. Die App ist kostenlos und funktioniert im Grundsatz gut. Ich denke, dass man noch ein wenig die Benutzerführung der App vereinfachen und auch optimieren kann, aber das ist sicher auch eine Geschmacksfrage. Ansonsten bin ich mit dem Almond+ als Repeater sehr zufrieden und hoffe, dass ich auch zukünftige Erweiterungen (weitere Geräte über Z-Wave und Zigbee) weiterhin so problemlos einbinden kann wie bisher.

Für den relativ kleinen Preis ein feines Gerät. Zielsetzung hier, war die WLAN Verstärkung über 2 Gründerzeit Haus.Funktioniert bei uns sehr Gut.Optisch, dezent und nicht dominierend.Die Einrichtung sollte auch für Laien einfach zu bewältigen sein.Interessant auch die Möglichkeit zigbee gesteuerte Module zu benutzen.

Das Gerät ist von der Handhabung sowie vom Nutzwert kaum oder gar nicht zu empfehlen. Von der doch recht unausgereiften Bedienoberfläche (wiederholte updates) einmal abgesehen stört doch am Auffälligsten das die W-Lanverbindung über dieses Gerät spürbar eingebremst wird.

Wäre schon ok reagieren super schnell, wenn da nicht die Batterien so schnell leer wären, insofern ist die Sache nicht wirklich brauchbar. Wer will schon alle paar Tage neue Batterien einlegen.Außer etwas für Bastler, welche eine fixe Stromversorgung dranbauen.

Una pasada, cobertura en toda la casa(con el router del suministrador no ) encantado con la compra,fácil de instalar y con un diseño a destacar,la pantalla queda con un reloj y tiene funciones domóticas.Gran compra.

Klasse Router Einrichtung und webui sowie Touchfunktion übersichtlich und einfach. Ein Stern Abzug da für fachkundige leute leider ein paar Einschränkungen durch die zu alte openwrt Version auftreten. Für den ottonormal Nutzer würde ich jedoch sofort 5 Sterne geben und für diese hat der Router sogar schon fast zu viele goodies.

Almond+ lässt sich wirklich in wenigen Minuten einrichten, funktioniert in all den angebotenen Funktionen einwandfrei. Hervorzuheben sind die Smart-Home Funktionen Z-Wave und Zigbee. Der Aktionsradius des Geräts wird dadurch extrem erweitert. SECURIFI Tür Sensoren sind Reed-Sensoren + Magnet mit WLAN Anbindung und 1 Kopfzelle die etwa 1 Jahr läuft. Die Anbindung funktioniert mit allen SECURIFI Routern mit einer Entfernung von ca 50 +/- Meter. Sehr zu empfehlen.
