Beautiful, functional, high quality.
It takes some practice, but you can make some amazing coffee with this thing. The decanter is beautifully made, and looks lovely when filled up with a clear, delicious brew. I was a little worried by the review saying the glass was too thin, but I'm relieved to say it's not as delicate as all that. I've definitely given it a few knocks and it's shown no signs of cracking, but it is glass after all so some care will always be required when handling it. Highly recommended as an all-in-one drip cone/decanter set. Just add a pouring kettle (and coffee, of course) and you have everything you need to get brewin.

Nice pour-over coffee solution at a good price
I guess this is kind of Hario's take on the Chemex idea. Unlike the Chemex though, it's a two-part design with a separate brewing chamber that sits in the neck of the glass decanter. It's far easier to clean than a Chemex though, with a wider 'waste' allowing you better access to the lower part. The neoprene belt is also much more maintenance friendly as well as providing excellent insulation from the hot glass in use. This decanter version of the V60 makes brewing two or three cups of coffee a simple and elegant process (the official line is that it'll make 500ml of coffee, but in reality you can push it over 600ml and still have clearance below an 02 filter paper). Even when brewing a single cup though, I like that I can swirl the finished brew and then pour it out into a cup or glass, mixing the different layers of extraction to provide a better blended cup (I know I could just use a standard dripper direct into a cup, and then stir before drinking, but the swirling and pouring process helps the drink cool slightly, and it's just a nice fun little experience). Typically for Hario, the decanter is well made and feels that, accidents aside, it should last decades. It also looks beautiful next to their double-walled glasses.

Fantastic brewer
Use this v60 every day and it’s so flexible, whether brewing for myself or for 3 of us. So easy to clean, a rinse under the cold tap is all it takes.

Well made, affordable complete introduction kit to pour over coffee
This Hario v60 holder, decanter and filter set is a great way to make pour over coffee. From holding the box in your hands, the experience feels premium. Just having the silicone grip to stop you scalding your hands when the decanter is hot is. Nice touch. The packaging is excellent; and the instructions will walk you through making coffee. My decanter seems perfectly made with even curves around the body and a flat surface on the top for the filter to couple to. The filter is designed to block the spout when attached which helps keep the heat in. I would warm up the decanter before making coffee as it can hold up to 700ml its quite large and have a lot of glass to warm up. The included filters need no folding and fit the filter holder perfectly; though I would rinse them as there Is a papery taste if you don’t. Clean-up is easy; though the instructions make it clear to do it by hand with detergents rather than anything harsh. If you want a route into better coffee at home this is an excellent affordable introduction.

Highly impressed
Fantastic entry to pour over, easy to use, tons of filters supplied for free, made some really tasty cups using James Hoffman’s 1 cup method. Highly recommend.

Great way to start my V60 journey
I opted for this decanter with the V60 dripper from Hario because of the all in one design and the good reviews. It didn't disappoint. I made the first coffee with 500ml and there were plenty of room left. It maybe a bit big if you are always just making one cup but I prefer the integrated design and just in case I have friends over. :) cleaning was a breeze, even with my big hands, I was still able to stick a sponge in and wash it. In short, if the size is not an issue, I would recommend this.

Very decent
Solidly made, a good size for 2-3 cups, looks fine on the shelf. I think more expensive ones are possibly more aesthetically pleasing but I’d rather spend that money on quality beans.

Chemex, but better.
Hario have been established as the kings of coffee making for quite some time now, and it's this product that shows us why. Theres not much to be reviewed because there truly isnt much to this product, but that's how it should be. The glass decanter is tough and I feel like it wont break easily, the plastic V60 brewer itself is made up to Hario's usual scratch and works without flaw, and the rubber cuff is a rubber cuff. The papers supplied with the kit are totally fine, though if you prefer faster papers I'd advise buying some extras. In terms of flavour I'm of the opinion that's totally down to bean quality and technique; you could have the most expensive V60 brewer in the world, but crappy coffee and crappy technique are still going to produce a crappy brew. You ask me, you can't find a better brewer for the money. No fuss design, no fuss coffee. If you've never made V60 coffee before I urge you to look up some videos on how to brew by weight, and then pick one of these up, you wont regret it.
