Okay, you'll need to unscrew the bottom piece of the rod. There's a hidden washer and screw inside. Without this, the rotatable rack will be unsteady. All the complaints are due to this problem. This round gold clothing rack is classy looking. It was easy to assemble with simple to follow instructions. The quality of the metal feels pretty strong and durable. The finish looks fantastic just like the pictures. Even though it looks very nice, the base could be a bit wider to increase stability when one side is loaded. Overall its a great display rack, but will need a wider base and the price is a bit high.

This rack was not as heavy duty as I was hoping for. I need it for my boutique but do not feel it looks or feels sturdy enough

Could use a wider base but it's pretty sturdy. Fits a decent amount of clothing and was easy to put together.

This is perfect for my needs. As you can see the items I hang are much smaller than clothes hangers. I find the finish very pretty. While the height is low, it is very sturdy. When raised to full height it is a bit wobbly. This is a nice, slightly compact size for my display. It holds a lot for the footprint.
