Milka Chocolate T-Discs Bag, 8 Servings, 240 g

Not cheap, even for Tassimo system drinks, but they are probably the better of the three chocloate drinks out there, TASSIMO Cadbury Hot Chocolate Drink 16x5 T Discs(8 servings) (Pack of 5, Total 80 T Discs) and TASSIMO Suchard Hot Chocolate 16 T DISCs (Pack of 5, Total 80 T DISCs) being the other two. For me it is possibly because - for my taste - they include the creamer whereas the others don't. I still, however, occasionally use an extra creamer Tassimo Milk Creamer, Pack of 2, 2 x 16 T-Discs (32 T-disc) with the Milka discs. But again that's just probably my taste.

As Milka are owned by Cadbury I had assumed these would taste the same, however I thought that these tasted a bit more "chocolaty" if that is a word. They were a bit sweet for my liking and needed a bit of an occasional stir while drinking otherwise some was left in the bottom of the cup in the form of a powdery residue. These are a double thickness pod with everything in a single pod. It is a while since I have had the Cadbury one so I will buy one next and compare. When I have done I will update this review.

Creamy chocolatey taste but not too strong , tastes like a babycino that Costa used to make , a family favourite in our home .

This makes a regular size cup and is much better than the Tassimo Cadbury hot chocolate, as Cadbury is very very watery and tasteless! However this really isn’t a whole lot better. The texture is creamier compared to Cadbury’s hint of chocolate water, but the flavour remains bland. Only slightly more chocolate flavour than Cadbury. I hated Cadbury so much I binned the whole bag. This Milka hot chocolate will be finished, it’s OK, but I definitely won’t repurchase this. I’m so glad I only bought one bag of each. I just hope Tassimo’s own salted Carmel is better, as otherwise I will have to come to conclusion you just can’t get hot chocolate any other way than throwing ingredients together on a hob.

love the taste but only got 4 discs per packet!!!!! These discs are twice the size of the Americano discs they fit the machine fine but because they are larger they only put 4 in per pack - too expensive I expect 8 discs per pack will try the Suchard ones instead, on the plus size these discs already come with milk so you don't need to add

I bought this as I love the Milka chocolate bars and thought it would be a nice treat, and it was! Tasted heavenly and if you have a Tassimo machine you will know how easy to prepare this is. Only downside is that it's a relatively costly way to enjoy hot chocolate, but I will look forward to this as my now and again treat for sure!

Let's be clear, none of the pods are close to making a proper hot chocolate but the milka is the best of the picks. One is more chocolatey but more watery/less creamy the other in the purple packaging is truly disgusting, like a cheap chocolate flavoured diet drink.

Nothing wrong with it. Tastes great. Takes a while to get as it comes from Europe. Just as easy to make from powder though.

If you want a quick cup of hot chocolate this brand is excellent. Doesn’t taste watery like so many other instant hot chocolates.
