GREAT devices, but think about how you will use them before choosing a plan
With the state of air travel today, we only have moderate confidence that our checked bags will actually arrive with us, especially when flying with connecting flights. These devices let us see our bags as we were traveling and verify that they were actually making the same connections as us. The devices themselves are pretty inexpensive - each is sold for $30, and then you own it. Of course, you need a monthly subscription for each device in order to actually track the device. This is where you need to think about the plan you want. We chose the most basic plan - $19.95/month for a 3-minute reporting cycle. I.e., whenever the device is moving, it "phones home" every 3 minutes. Caveats: When not moving, it doesn't report; when underground or in some shielded container and the 3-minute time comes up, it cannot report. So - what we found was that around airports, we would get random points where it was being moved between the aircraft and the terminal. E.g., if the 3-minute time happens while the bag is under the terminal and the bag/tracker is moved in a shipping container into the aircraft before the next 3-minute time, nothing gets reported. For our next trip, we will decrease the report time interval to either 1 minute or even 30 seconds (a few dollars extra per month). This will let us get more real-time information. (For the truly paranoid or fascinated, you can track down to 3-second updates.) For this trip (for a wedding, where we needed 8 days of many changes of clothing) we had to check two large bags. I put one tracker in each bag, plus a third in my carry-on with my computer (we thought we would have 3 checked bags but didn't need the third bag). Tracking the bags at each airport reassured us that everything was working - AND if a bag had gone awry, we would have been able to tell the airline exactly where the bag could be located. You can "subscribe" for a single 30-day period and then terminate until your next trip, or if you are a frequent traveler, you can subscribe to multi-month or annual subscriptions at a reduced rate. Highly recommended in these days of flight delays and cancellations and baggage nightmares. Oh yes - what about using Apple AirTags instead? Apple AirTags require that you have an Apple iPhone. These work with iPhone and Android phones - and we only have Android phones. Plus, the AirTags report through Bluetooth connections, meaning that they need to be fairly close to another Apple Bluetooth device to report their positions. These devices have a built-in GPS and report through cell towers, so as long as the device can pick up some GPS satellites and is within cell range of a tower, it can report back as to its position. BTW - we got this to track our bags, but it can also be used to track your children's driving or to track/recover your car, if stolen. The devices have strong magnetic mounts and can be attached to a vehicle in seconds. You can then see where the vehicle went, and even roughly figure out how fast the vehicle was moving at different times by the distance traveled between updates. If we had these when our son was first driving, we would definitely have been tracking him. For vehicles, you can program a "geo fence" - if the vehicle moves out of the fence, you will get an alert. So - if worried about your car being stolen from work (or airport or other location), you can use this device and program a geo fence around the area where the vehicle should be. If stolen, you will be alerted AND you can tell the police where your vehicle is currently moving or parked.

GPS is very accurate and reliable
Great tracker. I used this for an international trip and was able to track my bag the entire time. Very reliable and efficient. Battery life is great, and the charge lasts very long; only had to charge it once while on a 3-week vacation. Easy to setup and great customer service.

Small, convenient...ease of use.
This is a nice, compact unit that I can mount on my motorcycle soo my wife can track where I'm at in the event I don't check in on a regular basis. The added advantage is if some thief decides they want the bike more than I do, I'll be able to give the information to law enforcement and get the bike back. And even better, if I go somewhere in my truck instead, I can remove it from the bike, put it in the truck and once again, the wife can track me or see where I may have driven off the road or gotten stuck somewhere with no cell coverage. I feel the pricing structure of the subscriptions is more than fair, especially since the device can be tracked via the app or via the web interface. (After 44 years of marriage, I don't have any issues with my wife knowing my whereabouts...and I'm too old to be carousing around anywhere. I plan on riding to 49 states (possibly 50) on motorcycle and this gives me added piece of mind. I like being able to access from both GPS and cell towers...some areas are without cell coverage (Great Smoky Mountain National Park being one). I have found a few areas without GPS and cell but I'm sure as the satellites orbit, those would be a very short duration lack of coverage, especially with the GLONASS constellation as well.

So far so good
This is my fourth land and sea tracker. I had two for 2 years, and they worked like a charm. They finally stopped working.I purchased a different land and Sea tracker a few months ago and it didn’t work, I now believe it was because of the location in the vehicle. in the past couple of weeks I have tried two different companies trackers. The first was so complicated and I never could get it to actually work with a map and tracker location. I positioned it in different areas of vehicle and still no results. The company did offer help but I thought this is too complicated and more for a fleet operation. Second companies platform wanted you to sign up and only identified one fee for service. with no explanation of how many seconds of update for that fee. Attempted to contact for information and continuously dumped into online chat. It was clearly not person, but computer, because it could not answer that simple question. I want to say that Sea Land Air have a very simple sign up platform you know exactly what update times you’re paying for. simple instructions for how to operate and i could see immediately the map and my vehicle. I love this group and have talked directly to their representatives multiple times in the past. now I’m hoping that it works as well as it did. I will let you know. i’m giving the device four stars for now because I realize it’s premature but I’m so happy that it functions so easily.

No fence, no followup!
Purchased for RV travel cross country. Big selling point was Fence option when unit traveled outside designated area. I have been in contact with seller regarding this option not sending alerts. Very disappointed by option not working or followup by Land&Sea. Last email said they would forward to engineering regarding no alerts. I followed all of there instructions and reset everything including phone update and notification permissions. I have not heard back for over 3 weeks! Very disappointed. I would NOT recommend this unit. Very disappointed.

This is not the cheapest tracker, but in my experience those break down easy and then you don't know whether it's the signal, a battery, or hardware is dead. This device is well made and performed as expected.

I activated it before my trip, placed in checked luggage. Needed reception to get the location though so you need service and not just wifi. Battery died after 9 days, so dont forget to bring the charger for it (micro USB). The app is great and shows the full path in playback video. Now that trip is done, Ive cancelled the gps service until my next trip.

Ease of use and fast engagement for a month and fast disengagement. I use this when I fly which I seem to do quite often at a moments notice. I pay the 20 bucks US and then cancel it when I get home. My suitcase is worth more then 20 bucks to me.
