Great item! I love this colour changing cube. It’s very relaxing to look at. Lights up whilst plugged in and charging, can then be moved and put wherever you want it. I unplugged it and put it in my child’s bedroom at 9pm and it was still going next morning at 7am. I plan to put it next to his LED jacuzzi when it’s a dark outside. I bought the 25cm one and it’s pretty big. You can change how it lights up with the remote, have it stay on 1 colour if you like and alter the brightness etc. The waterproof pug fell off but I’m not intending to leave it out in the rain anyway. Love it and I thing I may buy another in the sphere shape 😍😁 Update September 2025:- STILL FABULOUS AFTER OVER 4 YRS OF DAILY USE AND ITS ON 24 hrs per day 😁

Bought this for my son for on his bunk bed, he thought his room was too dark and wanted a light for in bed reading or listening to a story CD. It looks really smart and comes with a remote control with which you can control the colours of the light. It gives off good light but not overpowering for your eyes, it's a nice glow. It's good for kids as it can take a bit of a knock, like if it fell off the bunk bed it wouldn't smash or get damaged easily. I Would say it was perfect for a child's room for reading or if they are scared of the dark. But would be good for anyone really but for what I bought it for it does the job perfectly and is a bit quirky and different to your average lamp. Came quickly and well packaged so I'm very pleased and would recommend.

I replaced my traditional bedside lamp with this small cube and it's great. Red is relaxing for late at night, blue wakes you up on early mornings. The ability to set colour and brightness lets you tailor the lighting to fit your mood. At full power it's bright enough to light the room. On low power it's a great backlight. I didn't realise when I bought it, but you charge the lamp and use it on battery. This means it is portable and no cable is visible. The charging socket is on the bottom, under a rubber cover, which is a bit awkward. It charges quickly though. The remote is easy to use. There is a colour cycle mode, but even on the slowest setting it changes too quickly. It's a great light for the money and I think that the ability to change colour / brightness has helped me get to sleep more quickly.

I know it’s only a light but for me, it has been invaluable. I use it as a night light, so I can see my daughter sleeping overnight. I use the red colour, as it’s bright enough to see her but not too bright that it keeps us awake. It has many colours and you can make it brighter or dimmer. It comes with a handy remote. Apparently it’s water proof and it runs on an internal, rechargeable battery, so you can use it in the bath. I haven’t used this feature yet. I also tend to keep it plugged in as I use it every night, ALL night, so the charge only lasts once then I had to recharge it during the day. When my daughter moves into her own room, it will go with her. Brilliant little box of light.

The smooth colour change setting cycles too fast, I had a different cube a while back by a different (and now defunct) company, the colour change failed on that one but while it worked it was really slow it was almost imperceptible and it was soothing like that. In particular the change between red-orange on this cube is noticeably jarring. It could be brighter. The battery life isn't great and it'll only get worse. The USB cable is quite short too and as noticed by other reviewers the bottom of the cube is a bit darker. On the other hand the colours are soothing, the corners are very nicely rounded and the plastic seems sturdy. The remote is very nice too. Overall, this is still a nice object but I just wish the 'smooth' colour change was smoother and slower and the imperfection irks me since it is a frivolity purchase.

Great quality. Works straight out of box. Short cable but should work with an standard DC connector. Great light. Will probably buy more.

Cannot be used for filming easily. I have tried this on 24, 25 and 30 fps while filming and none of these have worked for the smaller cubes. On 30 it just about works from a distance but as soon as you get closer to it it begins flickering. I was hoping to use it in a music video but i now see i cannot. Plugging it in at the mains does not change this. I also purchased the 40cm cube. As this is bigger i think the battery is stronger and it can be filmed without flickering on 24fps. This is of course the american setting, and therefore we can only use battery operated lights for our music video to match this and we cannot use other practical lighting. Our next step may be to dismantle the box and replace the inside with a colour change bulb attached to the mains, but this is risky and may not work. Overall, great cube for events and parties, but not ideal for film making in the UK
