Superb Replacement Brushes
Not cheap. Really not cheap. However, I got these on an Amazon special at close on half the price so far more bearable than the full price. Regardless, I'd still stump up for them because the Philips Sonicare toothbrush is currently the best available system on the market. At an admittedly eye watering price. However, to counterbalance that, the cost of keeping your ivories in good operational condition and to avoid looking like an old cemetery with a load of old headstones falling over is a good hygiene program rather than rely on your dentist - who is probably running around in a Porsche on the back of your hard earned. So I have the Sonicare toothbrush and therefore I need the direct replacements which are fitted with some form of chip I guess, given the monitoring system in use. The quality is outstanding and to be honest at 50, my teeth have never felt so clean. Last time I went to Dick Turpin the Dentist he looked somewhat disappointed that there wasn't any real work to do and his hygienist - a young woman with all the pleasantness of a Waffen SS camp guard twisted her face as she couldn't give me my usual lecture. Overall there isn't a better means to clean your teeth in my opinion and the cost is high but worth it.

Effective and Black To Fight The Plaque!
Since the purchase of the Philips Diamond Clean Sonic toothbrush HX9352 I bought from Amazon UK in 2012, I have been getting by using a myriad of different brush heads. Primarily due to the expense of the original white ones, I stopped using the DiamondClean series for a period when the brush replacements were also sold out on numerous occasions. Instead, I relied on "Pro Results" toothbrush heads, which are a little less effective than the original "Diamond Clean" designed to fit the HX9352. Yet again due to pricing and appeal, I thought I would give these new brush heads a try since they appear to be made for the HX9352 series and in particular for a new DiamondClean model now available in a black colour. The Philips HX6064 Black DiamondClean replacement brushes that I bought are sold in a pack of 4 but unlike the previous purchase, these brush heads are encased in a thin, narrow blister pack that I found impossible to open, easily! Although each brush head have hygienic plastic safety caps that adorn each brush head, I would have appreciated the cardboard boxing that the previous Pro Results brushes were packed in compared to the right hoo-ha I had to cut open the packaging for this product – and by cutting down the side of the narrow all plastic box – ensure you don’t cut your fingers in the process as the plastic shards are extremely sharp! Out of the box each Black DiamondClean brush measures approximately 8.2cm in height so they are a touch bigger than the “Pro Results” brush to my eyes and a lot better thought out in terms of brush filaments. Here you get premium bushy soft bristles with a mixture of 6 medium stacks of soft bristles on the outer rim of the diamond shaped head, but it’s all curvy and in keeping with the Philips Diamond style right down to the castle cut style designed to mould to teeth and gums. A triple layer of brushes is evident to my eyes with a mix of soft and medium soft to ensure a quick clean also helped by the slight different colours of green in the centre and a row of reminder blue filaments at the top of the brush head. Slightly smaller to my eye in terms of the amount of bristles than “Pro Results,” these brush heads in my experience don’t give away their true aim until used. Ever so easy for me to push down and lock onto the single pin of my connecting Philips HX9332, I was surprised to find that all the brushes from Philips lack coloured rings yet again – it is black all the way right down to the rims at the base of the brush head – but yet again mimic the golf tee style in terms of a thinner straight neck and company branding written down the side. I am pleased to find that these black brush heads can still fit inside the USB travel case that my Philips HX9332 comes with. GENERAL PERFORMANCE & DOWNSIDES Generally due to the five cleaning programs of varying speeds, the highest “Clean” setting that my Philips HX9332 provides can give this brush a fairly high speed of tremendous vibrations natural to Sonic dental technology. The reason for Sonic cleaning isn’t just down to the far gentler movement of vibrations through the brush head but rather, down to the bushier softness that this brush head can provide due to the filaments in general. The Black DiamondClean brushes are just as quick and efficient as the original white ones that I would normally use. Due to its straight long neck and smaller head, I find access to my mouth a lot safer and not as difficult as other brush heads I have used. From getting into the back of my mouth, the Diamond Clean brush heads massage to my teeth but more so to the gum line where I find conventional and oscillating type heads just don’t whip off the dirt as cleanly or as quickly. Again like “Pro Results,” the “DiamondClean” brushes are great at cleaning off – and these black ones are no exception! Generally since purchase my brush head is still quite blue and that's been over 2.5 months. For a brush head that is required to be replaced every 3 months I feel there is greater longevity on offer here in general. If you can put up with the black colour change on the body, I think these Philips Sonicare Black DiamondClean brush heads are just as suitable as the white ones. At the moment they do appear to be a couple of pounds cheaper to buy and generally for an effective and effortless clean, the Black models here provide a cost effective reason to consider purchasing, even if you might own the white bodied unit, like I do. Thanks for reading. (c)NR2 2015.

Great toothbrush but overpriced replacement heads
I love my DiamondClean toothbrush. I had an OralB Triumph before and though that was good, the Philips is excellent. Notwithstanding that however, I think almost £5 each for a replacement toothbrush head is excessive. They're a quality item, but when you can buy a half decent manual toothbrush for half the price of one replacement head, I can't help but feel that Philips are profiteering somewhat. The toothbrush is so good however, I'm going to have to continue to shell out the money for replacement heads, as I wouldn't be without it! Please hit "Yes" below if you found this review helpful. Thanks!

Standard for my HX9351/04 – excellent quality.
These are the original Philips brush heads for the Diamond Clean HX9351/04. The one that came with the toothbrush handle lasted me just over 4 months, with only slightly noticeable deterioration, but none of the bristles start to fray in this time and none fall off either. I think it could even get another couple of months out of it without having a negative effect. The packaging is tough to get into but it's good to see that each brush comes with the original protective plastic cap so they can be stored without the bristles coming into contact with anything that might damage them. I would never get an imitation for this particular model because of the different brushing options the handle offers – the cheap imitations basically make the different options redundant. These official Philips ones are the original and the only option, in my opinion.

Good Sonicare Toothbrush Heads
It's difficult to get excited or write gushing words about a toothbrush head. But these merit 5 stars because they work so well with my sonicare toothbrush. They are definitely on the expensive end of replacement heads but i have tried 'lookalikes' with another brand and will not do that again. The original brush heads work really well - my dentist recommended sonicare to me and i will stick to his advice. They only last about 2-3 months but £20 over a year is not bad value for good tooth and gum care - the dog costs double that for one grooming!! Keep things in perspective - I sometimes miss that point.

Cinque stelle meritate!
