I had a specific need for this cable: my Garmin Edge 530 had come with the old style USB port cable to micro-B (at the 530 end). I had a couple of USB C to micro B cables but they would not work with the Garmin. A quick check online, it turns out the data transmission both ways is not good with cheap cables. I took a chance on this one and it is nicely made, the cable is braided so I expect it will be durable, the plugs are both end are obviously good. It's actually made in the USA, which is some reassurance. No problems at all with this one, worked very well.

Nice and robust cable- solved my problem of connecting a Korg midi keyboard directly to a mac to avoid latency. I tried using cables with adaptors but it wouldn’t work.

It works, this stuff is hard to find in local stores. build quality is good. Charging is steady since you have micro USB on one side, it will always be 5v <2A. The micro USB connector is normal length, it works on most of the stuff unless you have something that required longer connectors. Cable matters makes decent products and it is not as expensive as startech. pick it up if you need one.

What a great cable! I own roughly ~50 cables (need to slow down haha) and this is up there with the best. Super sturdy, strong, powerful, the list goes on... and it's only ~$10 (for the 0.3m version)! That's crazy! So many cables cost far more yet feel tacky and cheap. Plus, it's not easy finding a USB C to Micro USB C cable... so this is a win. I use it to charge my older Android phone, along with my camera and a dated pair of headphones. It's really stood the test of time, I can't see it dying any time soon, the braided format really makes it very durable. I absolutely love Cable Matters for this reason. Go for it!
