This item works very well, and is easy to put together. The long tube is very convenient in allowing water to disperse far from where it originally comes in. The low profile helps in tight spaces.

This drain with tube is a well built product that solved a simple yet problematic issue of every rain downpour pushing mulch from the gutter to the stone pavers. Over the years have used redirecting rubber floor covers however with still water flow issues, however this one has a large enough basin to catch the rainwater and redirect it with a 3 inch tube to other plants to make it truly multipurpose. The quality of the make seems sturdy. We will see living in the south whether it will hold up to the UV/sun. Word of advice is to bury the box however also make sure the tubing is at a lower elevation or water will pool. I slightly tilted the box so that there will be a minimum of standing water.

Great concept but missing something to keep the lid on. The weight of the rain chain keeps opening and swinging the lid.

My husband and I bought this for our shop we have been building. We wanted a drain that sits flush with the flooring and this works perfectly. Our floor is raised and we built a drop box for the drain to sit in made from wood. When we push water towards the drain it flows easily, doesn't get clogged, and more important, even with hot water the drain doesn't soften or come apart. I will be ordering a second one so of course I do recommend this product.

Well made, thick enough plastic to do what you expect. Thick cover with decent grates. Hose line connector very tight - took a lot to get it installed, but once you got it - it certainly wont go anywhere.

I purchased several of these for a new construction home. Works great for a light rainfall but basin and pipe is too small to heavy a heavy rain. A few things to consider: The pipe is meant to be buried, under soil or mulch or rock. But keep in mind the basin must be elevated much more than the pipe for proper drainage. If you bury the pipe under the soil, the water will not quickly drain into the soil and you will end up with a soft spot and muddy mess. One the ones I installed, I had to cut my down spouts so the water would fall into the basin properly and where I installed on top of mulch, I had to make sure there was enough of a slight decline from the start of the basin pipe fitting to the end of the pipe. Mine drained onto my slopped drive way which is just perfect. But for the areas of yard, the pipe sits above the ground which means when the grass grows around it, I'll have to use a weed eater to trim around. Perhaps a high profile would have suited my needs better. I found also that attaching the pipe to the basin was not very easy to do.

I love this for draining rain water away from my porch. The hose is very long and flexible, so I can adjust it as needed. Very easy to use and a great price. Will be purchasing another!
