Easy to use and very effective
Definitely needs two people. I bought this product to vaccuum pack a Kingsize Simba Mattress. Instructions included were very good and clear. There is a little white clip supplied which is to zip the mattress shut - don't lose this when unpacking the cover ! Second person needed partly to handle the weight of the mattress but also to stand/lie on it while vacuuming to help get more air out (as suggested on the instructions). All in all just under half an hour to have a rolled up, vaccuum packed mattress. Very pleased with this product.

Did the job well
Quite robust.Didn't reduce the mattress by 85% (might have been our vac struggling) but sufficient to roll the mattress up and get it in the car - Would have been impossible otherwise. The velcro straps were great.

waste of time
Defective and doesnt work and annoyingly, we spent an hour and a half sucking all the air out of it, folding it and wrapping it up, getting it in the attic a small opening only for it to then fail and leak all the air out of it and it has now fully expanded whilst up in the attic, waste of time

Annoyed we relied on it, ended up paying a hefty price
Waste of money for me - you may have a different experience.Ripped as we were putting it on my daughter’s mattress to move her out of uni accom. Not only did the packaging have to go straight in the bin, but I was also forced to leave an almost brand new, and immaculate £150 mattress behind because without the vacuum bag we had no way of getting it home. We had gone to great lengths to make sure the mattress would stay pristine for year 2 (mattress topper & mattress protector). All in all, relying on this product ended up costing me about £200. As you can imagine, not very happy.

Will get things done (at least once hopefully)
Not sure if it's indeed thicker than competitors (if that's the case, then I don't think that item is sustainable unless you're using them as one-off to quickly move the mattress from A to B or deflate it once and forget in the closet for months), but the feeling of flimsiness never left me and I'm pretty sure after the first use - buying a mattress from a friend and transporting it in a van - it developed some micro-cracks/holes that will eventually reinflate the insides, leaving just the straps to fight for retaining shape.Speaking of straps - solid quality, long, strong and plentiful velcro. However they had the audacity to feature metal-hook straps in both promo video and pictures, which those certainly aren't, so it's way more difficult (or impossible) to reach the advertised compression level (not even sure velcro parts would align at such small diameter). The texture of the bag also left a, weird feeling as if they were trying to fuse half of it with some sort of bubble wrap and I don't think it worked particularly well (and as hard as it is to tell from the pictures/video, it doesn't feel like the design/finish that they advertise)Overall should be good for a single job, maybe two-three times if you're extra careful and ideally don't leave your house. Whether it's worth it at such cost probably depends on the cost of your mattress / van vs car hire, but overall I'd say it should be around 20 quid mark rather than 30

Hugely helpful and effective
Bought product to try and save space packing up my double Simba mattress as I remembered the mattress arrived vacuum sealed. Bought a queen size as I wanted to oversize rather than under.Taking care to ensure the surface we packaged up on, following the instructions and gently walking over the mattress it was massively reduced in size. Wrapping it up in a blanket before the straps to protect the outside from puncture or pinching. The mattress compressed fit behind the seats of my car and I could still see over the top, it then survived fully compressed for 72 hours on my drive from the UK to Spain.Couldn't fault the product at all and it came in hugely useful. My only concern would be that the packaging the product arrives just in bubble wrap which leave it to be punctured during transit between the retailer and your delivery destination, but I was very fortunate that there was no damage and everything went well
