American Crew Fiber 50g / 1.75oz

This stuff is really good once you get the hang of it- which is to really warm it up between your hands first and then work quickly to get the shape you want. It’s not the cheapest but the quality is great, it washes out easily and doesn’t add that greasy look you get from a lot of waxes/pomades. Worth the price point for texture and shape in short spiky/high styles.

I don't normally leave product reviews but this product is an exception. Of course, the only negative thing really is the price, but this tub will last you a long time and it's better to pay a bit more for a high quality product then it is to buy a cheap one which is not adequate. The hold is excellent, better than most waxes/clays I've used (mostly from the Vo5 range). The smell is also very pleasant. Understand that everyone has different hair texture and therefore this product will not work perfectly for everyone. But for the vast majority, as shown by the reviews, this product is excellent.

Love this, great product.... but they changed the formula in early 2025 and now it seems a bit "greasier". ....its easier to work maybe but it is a lot softer and a bit greasier. Ruined a good thing!

I love this stuff. You only need a small amount, the finish is not shiny and it holds very well. It lasts a long time so no need to repurchase regularly. The pot is not too big so it's relatively easy to transport. Great price here on Amazon too. I almost always use American Crew over other brands. Whilst I have occasionally tried cheaper supermarket brands, American crew is superior in almost every way. I do find that I don't use as much either so a tub lasts me several months anyway. In terms of the actual product, it is a very firm paste that you need to dig your finger into. It's quite a hard wax and may seem to hard at first. It is important to rub it between your fingers and warm it up as it becomes much softer and easy to apply. Overall, this product looks great, works well and has a strong hold, smells amazing, and although it is more expensive than other supermarket brands, you get what you pay for with it.

Finding the right hair product which caters specifically to your individual hair type and length can feel like a slog. It certainly did for me, having spent some ten years trying to find the perfect product after I stopped using my previous favoured brand. Until American crew, that is! This 'fiber' (as it says on the package, in keeping with American vibe, I suppose) is really nice, and is great at providing volume, control and texture for my mid-length mop. I'm glad my search for an ideal product has finally come to an end! I also love that many American Crew products come in smaller sizes too, meaning you can try them out without having to buy a full-size tub and risk chucking most of it away.

This is the lightest fiber I have used in my hair. A very small amount is needed and goes a long way. You do need to warm it up in your hand to make it more pliable in the hair. It leaves a nice natural matt look to your hair, and holds throughout the day without feeling greasy or heavy. Smells good too. It is quite pricey, but seems good value as you only need a fingertip amount for short hair.

Great product, great service

Das American Crew Fiber eines der besten Haarwachse für matten Look ist, steht wohl außer Frage. Ich kaufe Fiber seit Haaren und habe bisher wenig besseres für kurze Haare mit gewünscht mattem look gefunden. Wo andere Produkte im Halt versagen, hält Fiber die Form und sieht trotzdem natürlich matt aus. Meine Rezension bezieht sich diesmal aber eher auf die Tubengrösse. Normalerweise wird Fiber in der 85gr Dose verkauft, die ich bisher auch immer benutzt habe. Da man mit dem Produkt aber generell eher sparsam umgeht, weil man einfach nicht so viel braucht, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich die Konsistenz des Produkts nach einiger Zeit ändert. Anfangs ist das Produkt richtig fest und man kann es nicht einfach rausstreichen, sondern muss druck aufbringen um es in die Finger zu kriegen. Wenn man wie ich nebenbei aber noch andere Haarprodukte nutzt, dann kann es passieren, dass das Fiber Monate braucht, bis es leer wird. In dieser Zeit ändert sich die Konsistenz und das Produkt wird leicht glänzend und schwieriger als es zu Anfang war. Da ich kein Chemiker bin,kann ich natürlich nicht erklären, warum das so ist. Jedenfalls ist dadurch auch bedingt die Stylingleistung vermindert, was ärgerlich ist. Der matt Look ist nicht mehr so wie anfangs und das generelle verarbeiten verändert sich dadurch auch! Ich greife daher zu der 50gr. Dose, die neben dem geringeren Preis,natürlich auch nicht so lang im Schrank steht und dadurch auch die Konsistenz behält wie sie sein soll, nämlich fest, trocken und matt! Ich kann also jedem, der für verschiedene Stylings mehrere Produkte verwendet, nur empfehlen beim fiber die kleinere tube zu nehmen. Dann ist es gerade für kurze Haare mit das beste Produkt!
