Simply 10/10
Honestly best survival guide I have read, this book includes the basics / essentials along with a large variety other tips. This book, despite it's relatively small size, goes in depth into all topics stated conveniently at the start of the book rather than just steps it offers detailed pictures and great descriptions on what to do and how to do it.My personal favourite addition to this book is the plants section if fishing or other food sources aren't or temporarily unavailable this section goes deeply into what plants are okay to eat (e.g nutrient rich plants) and poisonous plants to avoid as well as stating how to primarily check if a plant is edible or not.It shows shelters for all climates and locations as well as tips for creating fire ect, so to put it shortly this book is simply great and I advise anyone experienced or newbie campers or survivalists to buy this book it contains everything

A fun book which may be useful one day.
Whilst I am a person who really will never need this knowledge it was still a fun purchase to read. It comes in a small form factor so it can be chucked into any backpack for a hiking trip, just in case. The book itself is high quality and contains lots of images to help illustrate its contents. So if your someone who is often in a helicopter which crashes during a hurricane who then has to avoid poisonous animals or(perhaps more realistically) someone who is generally interested in survival, it is a must-have.

and it is a FANTASTIC repository of information
I have the oldschool edition of this book, and it is a FANTASTIC repository of information.Every page is absolutely PACKED with techniques, information, methods, and advice. This book is an absolutely bombproof piece of equipment, and an ASSET for ANY survival kit. I would say to anyone that if they are building a survival kit or box, to put this book inside - you may have the knowledge needed, but your love ones may not. This book would provide all of the vital information that a person needs to get their foot in the door of survival.Whether a hobby, or a legitimate misfortune or disaster has occurred - the SAS Survival Guide contains the information needed to save a life.Great way to get young people interested in the outdoors and survival / bushcraft, too!It has something for everyone, in every climate.

Fairies sized edition about the size of a pack of ciggies and in no way comprehensive or detailed
As the title says it's tiny. It was not made clear that this was the small edition for Fairies. I don't know why fairies would want or need an sas survival guide because the ones at the end of my garden do fine without it.Unusable in this form. Text is too small you need three hands to read it as one needs so hold the magnifying glass while the other two hold the book open. It's definitely not the type of book that will stay open and even with two hands pulling it open it's difficult to see whatever is close to the margins.I did discover that the listing does mention size but it's low down in a section I've never had to read before so I missed it. It's put me off using any seller that is or was linked to this listing.I'm sure it will make great kindling beyond that it's a tragic waste of trees.

As good as I remember it being 25-odd years ago!
I remember having a copy of this book as a kid and recall pouring through the pages of really useful information I’ll never likely need. That copy was lost long ago, so I decided to replace it now I’m in my 40s.It’s every bit as good as I remember and is a great book to keep in my camper van, you never know when this info will come in handy! Excellent book and would make a terrific gift idea for anyone even remotely interested in outdoor pursuits.

Great little book.
My dog bought this for my wife's birthday and she's spent a surprisingly long time reading it and taking it in. Perhaps it's all the man hood waiving that's going on at present between the Russians and the Americans, or perhaps it's just a very good book. Either way, Nelly the dog is very happy with her purchase.
