We are pleased with this item, it looks good, we have given it three coats of Jacobean Oak wax to match other furniture.Some of the dowel holes were drilled too deep and dowels would have gone totally into the hole but we padded with a little kitchen roll and the dowel holes in the top were far to wide but made no difference as the top is screwed on with 8 screws from the side panel.This is a budget price table which is well worth the money as you would be hard pushed to buy the wood to make a similar table for that price but anyone expecting a table with top quality wood would be wrong to think that is what you get for less than £30, and even though this table says waxed it is like a blank canvass waiting for you to wax, stained or leave as is to suit your taste or other furniture.Actual size of table we received (measure from the top) was 50.8x 50.8 x 52cm (not the 45 x 45 x 47 cm as stated on the product dimensions)Would recommend this product as it is has sturdy legs and a good table top, looks good and does the job. Money well spent.

Solid pine wood furniture, flat-packed but easy to assemble and sturdy once all put together. Two of the shelves are adjustable. I would suggest an improvement in the design would be to cut out a small 'notch' at the back of the fixed bottom shelf, to accommodate the joining strip for the back panel pieces. Without this, the whole back section is pushed out and makes hammering in the panel pins at the bottom difficult as the wood 'bounces'. This change would also help the bookcase sit flush with the wall. Nevertheless, I love the design of the bookcase, with the addition of a drawer, it's something a bit different! :)

For many of us facing space at a premium this seems a perfect piece of furniture - for use as a desk.It is very sturdy and well made. Takes around 20 minutes to put up - instructions small but accurate. Nice old pine colour, attractive design and just very very good value.However, as a desk, very sadly, the legs are just too short. It needs a block to raise the legs around 4cm to 6cm or so (this will depend on your chair). Otherwise you legs will not fit under it. If only they had made it with longer legs!As a console table this is an easy 5 STARS. It is a genuinely lovely piece of furniture.BUT, as a desk, it falls short sadly without carpentry skills or playing around with blocks of wood to raise it which is not ideal (and adds to the cost). Such a shame, as this is the perfect size otherwise. I have kept it and use with blocks..... the nicest desk of this size I could find - and by a pretty mile.I feel mean giving it 4 STARS ---- but I hope it helps someone who is hoping like me they had found a perfect desk and my rating is on this basis. Recommended.

I got this for a bedside table, and despite having measured the space and compared it to the stated measurements it somehow seems a lot bigger than I thought! It's all good though, it's nice to have a bit of space for books, tablet, lamp, clock, cup of tea etc.It has a very light, rustic finish which I love, and the bedroom has a similar style so it fits in perfectly.It was a touch fiddly to assemble, with some screw holes at odd angles, but it doesn't take long to put together and it's rock solid when it's made up.Can't fault it at all. If you're looking for something with a bit of old-world charm you won't go wrong with this. Good value too!

Delighted with purchase , for the price very good value , looks rustic and just right for my hall , table easy to put together although I agree instructions could have been more helpful , I certainly would not discribe as over priced firewood , at this price wonder what people expect , have had many compliments from friends who were amazed at quality considering price .

Assembly instructions a bit vague - as usual - but once assembled a super little table. It had a strange musty smell when it first arrived that I put down to some wood treatment or stain? I use it as a computer desk and perhaps would have liked the drawers to have been a little bigger or at least A4 size but overall a super value product. I have put caster wheels on it so I can move it around. Just perfect !

The instruction made no sense, the number of screws was incorrect. There were only holes for the screws to sit in and no holes for the screw to actually go into the other piece of wood. The wood on constantly splitting on the draws. The construction was really rough and took a long time, as there were no holes on the other pieces both of mine and my mum's hands were swollen afterwards. I do not recommend this table and after all that work the table looked ridiculous in the room.

Lovely table. Quite easy to follow instructions but on one of the legs i only had one set of holes so had to drill in the other set myself. Agree with the other reviews about the draws, quite light and could fit better. Never less im happy with it, looks fab in my hallway and looks more expensive than what it was.

Nachdem wir erst Monate gewartet haben und ich das Tischchen eigentlich storniert habe, was ja nicht möglich war, haben wir beim Zusammenbauen gemerkt, dass ein Sprung in der Oberfläche ist.Wir haben aber jetzt mittlerweile keine Lust mehr das Tischchen zu reklamieren, da ich es nach 7 Monaten eigentlich nicht mehr gebraucht hätte und jetzt auch noch fehlerhaft ist, dass finde ich echt zum Kotzen.
