Powerful and Effective
This is a great blender set. Very powerful, and it has replaced both my old stick bklender and my jug blender. I'll run through the basic stick blender and various attachments here: Stick: For any general duties it is very effective. It makes short work of ice and fozen fruit when making a smoothie, and can pretty much handle anything you want to throw at it. The supplied jug is a good size, too. Soup attachment: This is also a triblade, but a little wider footprint, and plastic - presumably to protect non-stick pans. ou can sticck it straight into a pan ov whatever soup you are making and it will give you a smooth consistency Mini Chopper: Does an ok job, but you need to be a bit careful how you use it, otherwise the chopping can be a buit inconsistent. A few short (1-2 second) pulses, with some scraping in between, will yield a finely-chopped and mostly consistent jug of veg. If you go a little too long, the contents can very quickly become more of a puree. Fine if you want a puree though! Mashed Potato: This is a similar attachment to the soup one, but has a plastic blade and some holes in the base. In practice, I found this disappointing. Although it takes some effort out of the process (i usually use a ricer), I found that the end result was over-worked and the texture was just wrong. All-in-all an excellent tool. Warning: just be careful not to sbmerge the stick attachments when washing, as water will enter the shaft and it is very difficult to get dry again.

Great quality at great value
I got into making soups so I needed a hand blender. I don't mind paying more for better lasting quality and that's what I got. The main point is the motor - it's powerful with good torque. Doesn't struggle at any realistic job. The soup blending attachment is very clever and drives the soup downward in the pot to prevent splashing. Everything gets blended including the cumin seeds. The masher drives the potatoes up through a sieve and it's only good for potatoes and does a great job but if you've chopped carrots and turnip in the pot then it doesn't do well. A great tool if you've a big pot to mash. I have no issues with cleaning, hold it under the tap = done! Great quality build. No reason for me not to expect this to be still in the kitchen in 20 years time.

Best Blender I've Ever Used
This was a replacement for an old Braun hand blender. I had looked at several replacement models and decided Kenwood looked the best and I was not disappointed. After using it for several months, I love it more than ever. The chopping bowl is perfect for salsa. The special soup blender is effective in reducing splatter. The vegetable puree attachment is unbelievably easy to use. I now make the creamiest potato and parsnip/carrot side dishes without adding lots of butter. The build quality of this blender is solid and high quality. It cleans super easy and I particularly like the idea that the electronic component can be separated from the attachments so washing up is safe and easy. The only "negative" is that I rarely use my Magimix as this hand blender is so much easier to use. I highly recommend this product. I have see and used many similar blenders and rate this 10+. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Comes with lots of attachments
This fantastic Kenwood hand blender plus lots of accessories does everything and more that you might need it for. We bought it to make home made baby good which it has done to perfection. I had previously bought a budget one from Tesco which only lasted a month and you couldn't wash it up properly as the attachment wouldn't come off. This was why we decided to spend a bit more money on something that should last longer and had many more uses. The Kenwood blender can make smashing soups and you can even adjust the speed that it blends/chops. Would definitely recommend x

Good kitchen gadget.
My wife suffers from the 'hate anything new, prefer the old stuff' syndrome so initially the Kenwood was unfavourably compared to the Bosch which it replaces. However, as always, as she gets used to something she grudgingly admits "Yeah, its OK, I suppose" then comes "You know this is pretty good" This is the stage we are now at so it looks like the Kenwood won't be thrown away; which was it's threatened fate at one stage. I've used it mainly for chopping (mincing) stuff for curries such as onions, garlic, chilli and ginger and it works pretty well though the chilli didn't all get as finely chopped as I expected. The lid on the bowl was initially tight, "Throw it away it's unusable", screamed she! but after a few uses and a secret smear of olive oil it became much easier. I can now say that it is an accepted member of our stable of kitchen gadgets and we are both happy with it. It's well packaged and comes with a variety of fittings to do a variety of tasks not all of which have been used.. The product is well made and nicely finished and looks as if it will last a good few years. We both recommend this.

Thrilled with this.
This is even better than I expected. I had an old cheap stick blender that expired in spectacular fashion. I decided to buy a better one and I'm thrilled to bits with this. So easy to clean, mostly just rinse under the tap. I was most surprised by the potato masher, expecting it to sort of liquidize the spuds and turn them into gloopy gunk. I'm very happy to say this is not the case and it just makes the most fluffy fab mashed potato. I do have a soup maker kettle, so did not think I would use the soup blender attachment. However my soup maker failed to bend something properly so I plonked the stick blender in and in seconds it was wonderful smooth soup. It's very well made, solid and easy to attach the parts. The speed controller on the top is very stiff, so it might give you a problem if you find it hard to turn things, but I think this may easy up with use.

So after a lot of research I ordered this hand blender to save my time. It’s powerful and quick in doing it’s task. What I like about it: 1. Have a Chopper of an average size which is great for chopping meat or making koftas or kebebs. Grinds anything into very fine. 2. Different size of attachments for soups and purée or smoothies. What I didn’t like : 1. Though the hand blender is powerful it takes time to purée anything which is a bit thick and hence does not serve the purpose of saving time.
