Hotpoint Washing Machine 35mm Drum Bearings & Seal

When my washing machine broke down I was really worried about havingredients to get a new one. Luckily it was just the bearing, so I decided to get this to hopefully fix it. the bearings are really well made and fitted perfect. Im over the moon my washing machine is back up and running.

I used these on a hotpoint WMA44. A couple of things to note: They are a very tight fit as you would expect for any sort of bearing. They need LOTS of effort to get them in so not something an average DIYer would be able to do. The bearings do not spin as freely as the original ones did. Even though the original inner bearing gone it rotated better. I am guessing this will improve over time but rest assured they make no noise once fitted and the machine spins quietly. When (I should say if but these are wear and tear parts) these bearings go I will look to get a new machine because of the effort it takes to replace them. Very satisfying if you are able to do this and I fortunately for me I did mine error free the first time. I watched plenty of youtube videos beforehand and along the way!

Ive had no problems with this set of bearings. I did pop the bearing seals out and add alot more grease to the ball races. They dont come with much grease in them as standard. Its definately been a good move because i had some previously and they didnt last 12 months, and they were noisy from 6 months. Ive only had these 4 months so time will tell. They are still quiet at the mo. Update. After adding extra grease they are still quiet and going strong as of today 8th of January 2020.

The ability to fix a washing machine and save £400 for the sake of replacing the bearings is a great comfort to me. While the failure of the inner bearing had been pretty catastrophic and made getting the original bearings out very difficult, with a lot of WD40 and a large lump hammer it was possible. Washing machine is now quiet and working perfectly. You should all be able ot do this by watching the on line u tube video. Let's stop scrapping perfectly good appliances and learn how to fix things again

Didn’t fit

They may fit my washing machine as stated in the machines mentioned, but that particular machine has a sealed drum and cannot be gotten into. Wast of money for me due to false information

had to send off twice first for the 30mm set and then to replace them with the 35mm set as Hotpoint used both sizes on this machine, so my advice is get your old bearings out first and check the size. Delivery was £2 but worth it as spares 2 go had them at my house in less than 2 days on both occasions and no problem with the refund for the set I sent back. Well done Spares 2 go. THANK YOU
