Good quality ink and Cartridge
Recently given a beautiful Cross fountain pen, this was supplied with a single cartridge but obviously needed more to stock up. The ink flows really well, is a consistent colour and works reliably, I have not needed to 'encourage' the pen to work following a delay in use.My only slightly negative point would pen the length of can take for the ink to dry, but as I usually blot my layers this is not such an issue for me.

Improved ink flow
I've been using Cross ink cartridges forever. There is now a definite improvement especially in ink-flow. It's a real real old-fashioned joy in using a fountain pen, especially with good ink.
