Bought 2x ODB II's before but the aftermarket android stereo that I bought for fairly cheep wouldn't pair with them properly. After endlessly looking for ways to pair, I just bought one of these guys and had torque working through WiFi pretty painlessly.Noteworthy points:I believe you have to push the button on the device to start the WiFi, if you are planning to have it constantly show engine data, you will need to push the button each time you start the car.If you use any kind of WiFi or hot spot in the car (even bluetooth hotpots) you are more than likely going to lose your Internet connection when connecting to this device. Most setups will result in either Internet or ODB II not both.Works well, relatively cheap. All good.

Great item, bought this for system reporting on an EV, (Nissan Leaf 21 plate) had previously downloaded application "Leaf Spy" and had tried to pair several Ob2 dongle's via Bluetooth with no luck, bought this one because it is wi-fi, very pleased and impressed it worked within seconds with no messing and swearing required, small so can leave in place and record info on a journey to look thro later..good buy, well pleased.Also upgradable via web when updates available...give it 20 out of 10...

Well firstly the positives....Works quickly when linked to my Iphone (OBD Fusion App) and connected to my Toyota......However wont even acknowledge either of our Volvo's. So it was useful....now just a useless piece of black plastic :(

I realise a one star review is a bit extreme, but hopefully my explanation below will show why!I bought this iCar module last week to use with my 2013 BMW i3 and an app called Bimmercode (a well known and supposed foolproof iPhone app).To cut a long story short I ended up corrupting all the coding on several of the ECU modules in the car rendering it almost undriveable and with more dashboard warning lights than a 1980's disco!I contacted the author of Bimmercode, Stephan, who was quick to reply and really helpful.I did not know whether the problem was the app, the car or the iCar module.In the end I found a really helpful local fellow i3 owner who had an iCar module from an alternative source. I plugged his into my car and was immediately able to restore the files to correct settings on my cars ECU modules.It was a scary few days and the fact that a £20 module nearly landed me with probably a very expensive, red faced trip to the main dealer means that I cannot recommend this particular iCar module.I realise there are many good reviews below, and in all probability my module was the 1 in a 100 that was a duff one, but the impact on my car was profound and something that should have been a simple, safe way to tweak a few settings left me thinking that I had broken a £30,000 car!

My Suzuki Alto went into the garage for a repair and a while after picking it up I noticed the engine management light was on. The garage in question was a long way from home so couldn’t take it back. Opted to buy one of these to investigate before spending £50 for a garage to perform diagnostics.Worked perfectly, although the recommended app had an expensive subscription for certain features so I ended up using a different one. Once I got my error code I was able to investigate the issue and found the garage left a cable unplugged. Once fixed I was able to turn off the engine management light and bingo! Perfect running car.
