yes as long as on level ground otherwise it could topple. I think it's excellent value for money and use it for quick TV dinners. The top is easily wiped clean.

would it be alright for a sewing machine ?

Yes,my mother when she was alive loved sewing,she had an old fashion singer machine just rotating the handle,none electric.This small table would be able to handle the weight easy.Just make sure the floor the table is siting on is hard and level.forgive my spelling and such i struggle with words and numbers ....Many Thanks Star-Lord

Can it hold the weight of a printer?

It could hold a lightweight printer but I only use it as an occasional updates table, the legs are not too sturdy
