Intex 28690E Solar Powered LED Floating Light with Auto On and Auto Off, Color Changing and Static White Mode Swimming Pool Party Lights

Lately I’ve been adding solar lights to my pool area and have been disappointed at each attempt. Most solar lights tend to use a single led and try to enhance the lighting by refracting it around. This usually leaves very poor actual lighting beyond enough to just see that it’s a light but not illuminating anything. These however REALLY do what I’ve read many other comments say that they do. I’ve only had them in for one day and I went to check on them at night and to my surprise the amount of light which they provide is insane. I purchased 3 of them because I have a pretty decent sized 24x12 above ground pool and thought one or two would not be enough. I was absolutely surprised to find out that 2 wouldn’t have accomplished the task with no problem. They look great and I just had to take them out of the box and toss them in. I’m not sure how long they last, I doubt it would be the entire night but the amount of light exceeds my expectations.

Completely self contained. I just dropped it in. It charges all day and at night it auto ons at sun down. floats and lights the pool for 4 hrs and auto offs. Perfect for what I was looking for. Nothing to mess with. The colored lighting is very dim and not worth it. No real effect to the pool. The white light though is very bright and is as expected. Planning on getting a second.

UPDATE: I bought this light on May 27th, 2023 and 8 weeks later it’s doesn’t even turn on anymore. A waste of $27 dollars. My recommendation DON’T BUY, not worth it. I changed my stars to just one.I just bought this light for my 15’ round pool. My pool is in full sunlight from 8am to 4pm. I put this light in and noticed in only stayed light for 2 hrs. So I waited till the next night to see how long it would last after being in the full sun for close to 24 hrs. This light still only stayed on for 2 hrs. I could have spent a lot less and got ones that stay on longer. I thought it would last longer for the price you pay but laugh is on me. The light is bright when it’s on for the 2 hrs.

This is the best solar pool light I have been able to find so far that is reasonably priced. Be aware however that they typically only last about 1 summer. I have had only one of them last more than a season so far.After a while the solar panel milks over and they don't charge well. Or they just stop working completely. They degrade very quickly if you let it flip over or get sucked into the skimmer often.I have had to order new ones every year. I like to have two of them. Two of them light up my 20' x 30' inground pool well enough. Not super bright but enough to give it a nice appearance and ambiance. Like I said, not many choices for solar pool lights that actually light up the pool. There are some newer options now but they are expensive. The other major issue I have with this is that it turns off after 4 hours or starts off bright and then goes dimmer. 4 hours is not long enough because it turns on early before it is completely dark. If you turn it back on it will stay on longer but then it will also go dim.I took apart one of them that died and replaced some of the guts so that I can have a floating solar light that stays on all night. If my solar landscaping lights can do this why can't the pool light do it. Poor design on that part of it. My experiment so far working pretty well. It is brighter and it stays on most of the night. Not sure how long it will last however because I had to use the built in solar panel since it is molded into the casing.

Love this light! I have a pool built in 1970 and it has the typical deep end 110 volt light with a transformer, blah, blah. I never trusted it and didn't care much about it working because as a family we never did much night swimming.Finally someone has made something so I don't have to....a solar pool light... BRILLIANT! No wires, no transformer, and free power to light up my beautiful pool in the evening not to mention electrocution is not a possibility. I ordered 2 of these and was surprised at just how bright they are (the white light, the color sucks). These lights are a no brainer, auto on/off, no real footprint in the pool, and what seems to be a well made product thus far.Don't be afraid to buy 2 of these, I say 2 because if I had purchased 1 I would have been disappointed. That being said I have an 18000 gallon pool with an 8 foot deep end and I am going to order a third one to really light it up.

I have an average size pool and wanted to have reasonable illumination since my installed light no longer works. The reviews imply these lights are "impressively bright." They are not. Do not expect one light to do the trick. You will need at least 3, but even that may not be reasonably sufficient since they may all be in the same part of the pool, leaving dark portions. The build looks ok but I have no idea how long these will last. Because of the poor illumination, I do not recommend these. I suspect other brands of solar powered pool lights are no better so I would not recommend them for anything more than decoration.

My pool light is currently broken and needs to be switched out which is something I'm dreading to do. So temporarily I stumbled upon this solar light. And the fact that's it's solar is amazing and lights up my 5000 gallon pool completely. The color changing mode is useless and unless you put the light in a hot tub you won't see it but the white is awesome!
