Works brilliantly as a home garage door access keypad
I got tired of my old Genie garage door opener keypad failing every year or so due to weather, so after 4 replacements I had enough. I looked for a waterproof keypad, and I found this. This unit is better than my old Genie keypad in every single way. It looks way nicer and is way more modern. It is illuminated so you can use it at night and lowlight. It has an actual waterproof rating. It appears to be designed for industrial/business use, so it is heavy duty and robust. Where the Genie is thin plastic, this is thick metal. Where the Genie had cheap blister buttons that are prone to mechanical failure, this unit uses touch-sensitivity with no moving parts. Where the Genie is limited to one code, this unit can have multiple codes and multiple users, can use RFID cards and RFID keyfobs, or even combination RFID+code. I elected to program one code for me, and a different code for guests so that I can change the guest code from time to time.I did not buy the separate controller box. This unit works standalone without it, provided you have some other 12V source to power it--I had a spare 12v AC/DC wallbug. To use it like I did, as a garage door keypad:Connect 12v power supply to 12VDC (black and red on my unit).Connect the garage door opener's "door button" wires, probably NO and COM, to the NO and COM wires on the keypad (blue and purple for me).Program the relay delay to 1 second.Boom, works like a charm.I also wired an exit button to the unit, on the inside of the garage door, so that I had a way to open the door from the inside. The only thing I don't like is the constantly flashing red light. This is too conspicuous for home use, and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off in programming. I put a piece of black electrical tape over it.

No longer disappointed after replacement (upgrade from 1 to 4 stars)
UPDATE 05/12/2021All working fine. New unit works perfect. looks elegant, intuitive once understanding the programming ecosystem. RECOMMENDED.UPDATE:Very fast replacement of defective unit by seller - installed with no issues. Excellent form factor, sturdy slim design. Love the bright, very responsive, and functional key pad.Wish there would be a log capture program.INITIAL REVIEW:Received defective item - Seemed great - very excited with form factor, build, and features on paper at least but number 2 button does not work - all other buttons work fine - also not able to reset strictly following manual instructions - I am wondering if I should return for replacement or return for a refund - wondering how other users fared with defective keypads from this brand.

Works very well!
I connected to my gate controller. Set the relay timing to 1 sec. Added an exit button and connected the bell output to a Shelly UNI

Using keypad with 4-door access controller
The good: Product looks slick and professional, nice touchpad, good illumination, nice doorbell button. The bad: Can't externally control the status LED and beeper.Figured out how to get keypad entries to work with the UHPPOTE 4-door controller, here's how: 1) hook up +12, Gnd, D1, and D2. 2) in the manager: Tools->Extended function->Config->Super check 'Activate Access Keypad.' 3) restart the app. OPTIONAL: master PINs for direct access (e.g. police/fire/etc) 4) in the manager: Configuration->Pwd MGT->Controller's Password (a master stand-alone PIN, you can have at most 4 of these.) YOU'RE ALL SET!Now, you can create any number of users with their own "Card NO" (sorry, I don't know if there is a minimum digit count) and that plus the PIN field will get them in: So Configuration->Personnel->(add or edit) should bring up the User window, and in the Main tab you can enter a Card NO and a PIN (let's say you configured personnel 'Bob Dahl' with card# 123456, and set his PIN to 4455)Punch in *123456#4455# and the door opens!Okay, some more bad: The software does not report the difference between a physical swipe from a manual+PINAlso, it would be really nice to have a single-use PIN entry code list (at least a few dozen entries) in addition to the 4 master PINs.Update: It is really too bad that the firmware of this device when hooked up as a Wiegand reader can't switch the behavior of the LED and beeper to short beep once on read like a normal reader, and have the OPEN or D_IN inputs control LED and Beep like a normal reader so you can hook those up to the access controller's LED output. I don't even know if it is possible to flash the firmware on the device.

Only works as a RFID card reader
Keypad does not work when connected to UHPPOTE access control board. Keypad not sending key entries to board. RFID cards work just fine. As mentioned in other reviews, LED stay on constantly. It's a shame... the unit is nicely built otherwise. Sturdy and well constructed. Documentation is horrible, as is most China-made products. Don't expect anything in the way of support. You're on your own if you buy this.

Very nice, sturdy, well made product
Very nice unit, since I'm using it as a Weigand reader and not a stand alone unit I was a little disappointed that the relay and other outputs dont work in this mode, but i figured out a very handy way to make use of the relay output ;)

NO WIEGAND 26-BIT OUTPUT
There is no support on how to get the Wiegand Output to work. It does not work on our controller and there's no documentation on the output format or how to get the keypad to send the 26bit output to the controller. There's no programming information on configuring the output or switch the operating mode from standalone to controller.
