How durable are these red snappers?

Very durable if used as directed

It comes with the red rods that are then joined by the wood pieces. Then there are the red outside clamping pieces. I’m not sure which rid you mean?

Yes, the red snappers are very easy to cut! I recently purchased a Handiquilter Amara and set up the studio frame at 6 feet to fit my smaller room I was able to cut the red snappers with a pair of scissors with no problems. I love them! I don't know why every quilt shop isn't using them. It would save them a ton of time.

Great invention

I am a Long Arm Quilting and I use these every day. What a time saver over using pins they seem very tight at first but loosen up with use. I recommend taping the connections of the rods that go in the leader cloth as they will slip apart later.

Time saving and easy to use, but there are things you should be aware of...

Time saving and easy to use, but there are things you should be aware of...The package instructions for installation are sketchy at best, and there are many videos available on how to use them, but few on how to install them. You need to have a pocket for the long rods in your leader cloths. Leah Day has an excellent installation video if your leaders do not already have this pocket.Be aware that these add a bit of bulk on your take-up rail. If your longarm setup does not have an idler rail, you will need to remember to raise your take-up rail if your ruler base starts getting hung up on the rail as you advance your quilt.

This item is too hard load several pieces of fabric..way too hard cor a seniof cigize .

It will not load top fabric,batting , and backing for a quilt..will not..too hard
