This flashlight is lightweight enough that it can be carried easily for hours, yet it gives good clear and bright light also for hours on end. You don't often get both at the same time. Add to that the beacon capabilities of the colored light in the handle, storage for small items (although that storage interferes a bit with the beacon capabilities), and the fact that it is waterproof (it actually floats! And a flashing beacon starts automatically when the unit gets dropped in water), and you get quite a versatile little unit! That they are able to bring all this together for such a low price only makes it better!

Life Gear has come a long way. I had similar a few years ago. And finally broke. To no fault of Life Gear. I used it as a brace and it just couldn’t take the tension strain put on it.I bought this one. Seems brighter than the original. The one bad thing, and a continued design flaw, the light stick end has no barrier between the advertised storeage ability and the bulb, what ever is stored in the “tail” can easily hit the bulbvand breaking it from its soldered connection. Perhapsxa clear disk could be fit over the bulb section protecting it from such incident.Otherwise the various light features are nice. With flashlight, warning blinker, or steady-on, makes this a versatile flashlight. And Life Gear includes the 3 AA batteries needed so is ready out of packaging.

I bought 2 of these to send to campnwith my kids. They are led so felt good about not sending them with extra batteries. They are light weight but large enough that they won't easily get lost. The button is easy to push to turn on the light and has 3 settings for the flash light, beacon or emergency light and a glow light. The best partvof the light is the removeable handle that was perfect for storing needed items such as keys, pencil, money, etc... My kids loved having these and I loved that it served multiple purposes.

I received this flashlight today. There were 3 double A batteries inside of it already. The batteries had obviously been in the flashlight for quite a while as they had all 3 corroded and leaked all over the battery pack, battery compartment and led light bulb, leaving a white and highly dangerous substance (battery acid). I didn't know batteries would come with the flashlight. This is obviously an old product. I am happy with the look and functionality of the product. I just wish I didn't have to expose my hands to battery acid to remove the very old batteries that came with it in order to make the flashlight work. Not a smart idea on the sellers end. They made the product highly dangerous to handle. I am not happy with the fladhlight only because of the leaky battery situation. I now have to contend with battery acid residue everytime I have to change the batteries. I WILL NOT buy from this vendor ever again!

Everyone should carry a flashlight like this either with them wile walking at night or in their car etc. Excellent product & definitely worth every penny. I bought one for myself & 7 more for gifts to girlfriends.
