This is it! This is the solution to thick, coarse, and "flat" hair - this powder really helps express the volume of your hair without it all compacting into a sort of uniform clump. A little works great in adding what folks call "texture", which looks like accentuated segments of hair strains/flows, however without looking too oily or wet.The same effect can be achieved in other ways such as pomades and clays, however both tend to look a little more oily/wet in their own unique ways. I think this powder probably lacks more of the hold that these alternative products advertise, however for most casual settings this isn't a concern.Highly recommend.

This is a great product! It feels very light in the hair, but also keeps the shape.

Love the Slick Gorilla in general. This powder lasts a while, gives a a very matte, and tacky feel that is great for not wanting a greasy or shiny feel and lasts for days (especially if you don’t shampoo out). The frustrating knock here is the amount you get. It’s like Lays chips (1/2 air). As you can see in the picture, $20+ for just over 1/2 full is a miss. Will search for others that give the same, but more for your $

Works better than I expected. My sons hair has a horrible time holding style or any volume at allbut this will hold it straight up.

FINAL UPDATE! Purchased March 27, 2024, used daily until today April 17, 2025! I clearly love this product.Many reviews were commenting that the bottle was "half full." Yes this is true, but not because they're being cheap. You need to have room in the bottle for this to shake and airate... otherwise it could clump. That said... this product only needs 1 or 2 light taps and it does the trick. I have never used hair powder before this, and I'm sold. I don't think I'll ever mess with mousse, gel, spray, maybe even pomade... ever again!UPDATE: 3 months of daily use and it's still plenty. I'm telling you, a little goes a long way. It makes your hair look natural, with volume, AND moldable. (This is the only product that seems to to this effectively.) It takes a little getting used to. I apply it directly to my hair. Also, as my hair grows out there are parts that stick out more than a small amount of power can handle. Rather than wasting more powder and making my hair crunchy, I use a little pomade. (So I guess all these products still have their uses.) Overall, I really like the way my hair looks... like there is no product at all.Update: 4 months now still plenty.Update: 7 months and I think its running low, but I expect at least another month or more. I mentioned the powder and how great it was at my salon and they said... "oh YEAH! Powder is great for adding texture." Which... I guess is what this does, but in a way that holds.
