This mount was great! But I was unsure of a lot about how it works before I purchased it. So hopefully this review can provide some additional insights on the item. 1st, the item comes as 4 pieces: 1) the pole itself 2) the mounts, 3) the end caps and 4) the screws. When you see it you may think how the heck am I supposed to put it together?? But it's pretty simple. The screws are self-drilling, so you don't have to drill any holes first. You'll have to put some muscle into it to get them into the poles. And once in, they stay snug so no worrying about it needing to "catch". Hope this helps!

Not happy for the money spent. - not easy to put together as a 8 ft section comes in 2 pieces. which is fine except by the time you get the insert in and the ring on where the 2 pieces come together the paint on the ring is chipped. you can't get the ring on completely on the last inserted end unless you really want to destroy the paint. The pole is self for the money is much smaller then expected - and the paint is very thin and also scratches easily - by the time we get it installed it will look horrible. the end caps don't fit all that snug, I hope they don't end up falling out once hung. very disappointed, but at this point we are stuck. Wish I had not purchased

This is my third railing from them. First two were perfect and look great installed. This one had an inconsistency of finish (color, texture, gloss) between the two sections. Vendor notified and responded with replacement rail immediately. I cannot recommend these providers enough. Every supplier will have something slip by now and then. When they respond and solve those right away it is a sure sign of a trusted provider.

I love the look of this, but the screws that come with it were not long enough.

The handrail is extremely useful. I like that it blends in with the wood railing on the opposite side of my stairs. My contractor installed it easily.

The handrail sections do not match in color or texture. Also, the shipping charge for additional items is excessive.
