Very easy to use and works well. My husband has arthritis in his hands and finds this very helpful. I probably should have purchased two as he keeps it by his chair so it's handy for him.

These worked perfectly for my 80+ year old father who suffers from arthritis in his hands. He can now open cans independently with just the turn of the tool and is much less frustrated.

After partially rupturing a tendon in my right hand a few months ago, I have more difficulty opening jars now, and have tried various jar opening devices. I saw this one in a review posted by Consumer Reports, written by a young women who lost the lower part of one arm and has to do everything one-handed. She recommended (and demonstrated in a video) how she uses this to open jars. Very impressive. It has several openings to fit various sized jar lids, and also comes with a smaller device for bottle lids and a 6 inch diameter rubber mat for a non-slip base to keep the jars in place. The only thing I found difficult is the need to be able to grip the handle to keep the opener closed around the jar lid. I guess I am going to have to learn to use my left hand for that due to lack of hand strength and trigger finger on the injured hand, but still, this is the best jar opener I've found and I would recommend it. By the way, one trick I learned (and maybe everybody already knows) is to take a dinner knife and gently tap the handle around the lid in several places first before trying to open the jar. It seems to loosen the seal enough to make it open more easily.

this was good at first and definitely helped with the issue of opening bottles and lids of my jars. But the grip got harder over time, but overall it helped with speed of opening.

Not sure what I would do without this as they have great functionality and grip. With the arthritic hands things are easy to open and close. They fit almost everything and very easy to uses. Highly recommended.

This set is nice, the gripper pad is great and helps me open items I wouldn’t be able to open otherwise. I like the jar opener too but it is a little awkward in my hands because it is so big. Much better quality than a similar set I bought

The jar opener "for weak hands" works okay for tight lids and caps, but only if your grip is plenty strong enough to make it grasp the lid or cap. Otherwise, it just slips around. I can use it, but only by holding it really tightly and that kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing, doesn't it? Someone with bad arthritis or grip weakness would be disappointed with this jar opener. The bottle opener/tab lifter, along with the red grippy thing, are nice additions to this set, so all in all it is a reasonable value but not the perfect solution to opening jars, etc. Recommended with reservations. These items actually really work very well. As Senior Citizens, there have been many times when opening a bottle of juice, or anything with a cap became a struggle. I bought this and it has really helped. Easy to use, great grip and you can store it anywhere. Sturdy material.

These are the most helpful gadgets. Suffering from severe arthritis in my hands makes opening jars so difficult. These have solved the problem 😃

They work quite well as long as you are able to apply some pressure, I have arthritis in my hands,they do enable me to open some jars etc.

Useless, don’t grip anything , waste of money, wish I had sent them back.
