Bought it for one job; now it goes on all the jobs!
I bought this for one job to line up ceiling cans. It was more than I needed to do that, but it worked fine. I then put it away until a few months ago when I got tired of guessing if stages were square to the room in ballrooms. I love that the lasers hang out past the main unit, which allows me to get them out past the edge of the stage without it falling off. In seconds I can either check the stage, or line it up between airwalls and show the banquet staff exactly where the front edge should land. If needed, it has a couple different mounting options, including a magnet. It is very bright and runs for hours, allowing me to set it in the room and reference multiple items off it without having to turn it off and on. The other nice option is that you can bypass the auto level and just turn it on, put it on a stand, and lock a line at any angle. It will blink occasionally letting you know it is not level, but that's a reasonable feature in this mode. The backup AA battery option is nice as well but check on them from time to time. I haven't needed them yet, but I found the included ones have now corroded.

Great price point, quality visibility, canât beat the value for the $$
UPDATE (12/27/2018) - the level works well for most practical uses, but became difficult to see in bright sun when more than 5-10 feet away. In normal daylight it worked well up to 20 feet. I will keep this one for sure because itâs easy to use and functions well. The batteries last quite a while also. BUT I will also invest in a more expensive and more powerful rotary laser for larger outdoor uses.BEGIN ORIGINAL REVIEWI am a brand new contractor with over 10 years of occasional personal handyman and home renovation experience. This is my first purchase of a laser level. I decided it was necessary after working with another contractor recently and seeing how a basic laser level greatly sped up the workflow. After using a red laser level and struggling to visualize it with the sun shining through the window during and indoor project, I decided I would opt for the more expensive green laser no matter the cost.Unfortunately, the ones that seemed to fit the bill ranged from $400-$700. Immediately became less interested. So, I started doing research.I spent several hours researching the different brands, reviews, and why people like or dislike different features of different models.I quickly came to the realization that I did not need a super large rotary laser, but that having a 360° Lazer would be very beneficial for my primary work flow. I do mostly residential work like renovating rooms, building moderate sized too small additions, building decks, etc.I narrowed it down to Wanting a green line laser with a 360° function. I felt that this would suffice for my needs. So far, I am correct. I have used it while Finishing a basement and it has been worth itâs weight in gold.⊠Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows, Finishing a basement and it has been worth itâs weight in gold.⊠Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows,Marking outlet placements, and making me look like more of a professional. I am quickly seeing the need for a tripod so I ordered the Bosch elevator tripod. For the tripod price range of $100-$150 I felt deep bosh Wood give me the basic needs of being able to go up to at least 9 feet for setting the ledger board of a second story deck, which is something Iâm doing this week.So far the line is SUPER bright in the basement work that Iâm doing and I have no problem with visibility. If I end up having problems outdoors later this week I will update this. If this has not been updated within one week then assume that it is good to go for basic outdoor residential use.I did notice that this one does not seem quite as durable as the $500 Dewalt version that is similar, but I will just keep it in the case.I might even put it in a hard case because the case that comes with it, while Well cushioned, is fabric and not durable for a job site. For now it gets babied. All in all, this specific Lazer beat out all of my comparisons with even the same brand with different bottles, not to mention all of the other big name brands (at this price point).Itâs not super professional, but most people donât know that and you canât tell it from the job it does.

Perfectly level
Works great. I'm using it on a remodel project. It makes leveling and getting items plumb, so easy. I've checked the accuracy a few times with my bubble levels and it's always perfect. Good value. A tripod would make using it even easier, but I've been using a pinch-clamp with the included L-bracket/mount.

Perfect all-around laser
I'm a landlord who does most my own renovations and improvements. I do construction type work regularly but not commercially. I usually work alone.I found this laser to be very useful in my last kitchen remodel, especially when setting cabinets. Layout on walls without a helper is much faster now. It's easy to see exactly where everything will be at one time, and make adjustments, without having to mark lines everywhere. Layout is faster, easier and more accurate. The rotary function made leveling the cabinets a breeze. The line is just fat enough to be easily visible and split on all four corners of a cabinet run at one time. This guarantees the entire cabinet top is both level and straight (will shown any sagging/crowning) at a glance. You have to see it in action to appreciate how awesome this is. The vertical laser was especially useful in fastening cabinets to the wall. Being able to superimpose the location of a stud from marks near the floor to the inside of the cabinets is fast and foolproof. You don't cover up your layout line with the thing you are trying to mount. I even used the vertical point laser to transfer a center mark on the ceiling for installing light and then used the vertical line to align the 4' fixture without having to make any marks on the ceiling that might not be covered.I have used it on a few other projects since then and this has been useful in flooring layouts, hanging doors and shelving etc. Also useful as a reference line to measure from when installing paneling or drywall.I did not do any rigorous tests to confirm its accuracy, but over the distances used in general interior work it is at least as accurate as trying to use a high quality spirit level and string or anything else common to general carpentry. I checked. It's certainly easier and faster. The self leveling feature has a wide range and settles in within a second or two. The line brightness/visibility is also excellent on most surfaces (some hardwood floors being an exception) not in direct sunlight. All of the functions are easy to understand and operate, and it comes with a nice soft case to protect it when not in use. The quality of the whole kit really surprised me, especially for the price. I haven't used the pulse laser feature, but will probably buy the laser detector for a retaining wall project I have coming up. I had never heard of this brand before but am glad I tried it.
