FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, CF11181 for GM Vehicles

2008 C6 Corvette ZHZ 150K miles. I have replaced my cabin filter 3x, and I would have to say this FRAM CF1181 is the best one so far. #1 reason - the filter is rigid & stiff around the frame. All other filters that I have tried would crumble or get deformed when I insert it into the filter compartment. The FRAM filter fit perfectly, and retained it's shape covering the air inlet for the cabin. The filter is marked on one side with an arrow to indicate air flow (should point down). The grilles of the filter is littered with charcoal to absorb most bad odors. So far air flow is as good as when I first got the car, and no problems with air smells.

It was evident the moment I removed it from the packaging. It was significantly heavier then the OEM filter that was in my C7 Corvette. Then the real test and the sign of a true quality filter, how much light can be seen through it. Seeing lots of light is bad (thin & less material density) while less light is good (I.g. thick filtering material). Holding both (OEM & Fram) up to the light side by side l could easily see the light through the OEM filter but not through the Fram Freshbreeze. In fact I could not see any light which means lots of thick filter material to keep that bad stuff from getting through. Anther bonus is, it’s so much cheaper than an OEM filter. And yes, it fit my C7 Corvette.

I bought this for my '18 Corvette. It was easy to install and works great.

I fought with this filter to get it installed. It kept collapsing like an accordion. I really don't know for sure it isn't collapsed in there now. I guess if I pull it out and it is funny shaped then it probably is. I would think the sides could have a little more rigidity so this doesn't happen.

Cheaper then going to the dealer by far. Also there is no need to pay 40 - 60 $ in labor charge to change out a cabin air filter at a dealer when you can do this yourself in just minutes. It fit as advertised for our vehicle. If you have never done this before I have taught our 15 year old how to do this as basic maintenance to our cars. You can you tube your cars make and model, as most of the cabin air filters are behind your glove box or inside the engine compartment right up against your firewall. Normally two little clips will release it from the compartment, slide old out, put new in. This is one of the easiest ways to save money and don't let dealers take advantage of you with expensive labor hour charges for something you can do your self.

I bought this for my C6 Vette and it works great! Super easy to install, and I have zero smells in my car. My old (not this brand) air filter started to have a weird smell that would fill my cabin once I turned on the AC. That smell is now gone as soon as I changed to this one. Works great and easy to install - buy it already

Excellent quality

This was a very tight fit in my C7 vette & no way to know for sure it didn’t bunch up a little bit in the back.
