So I needed an extra key Fob for my 2013 ATS. The old one was getting old and not working properly all the time. I was getting an error message on the car that said “remote not detected”. So I knew I needed to get a new key FOB soon. I called the dealer and they told me $225 for the key fob and $225 to program it. So $450 total. So thought I would take a chance in this and program myself. So if you look in the 2013 Cadillac ats owners manual it does have instructions. I followed the instructions and this key fob was programmed and working in less than 10 minutes. I have use this for a couple months now and still works good. I don’t get the message “remote not detected” anymore. I would definitely buy this remote again instead of going to the dealer.

This FOB programed using below instructions. Door open and closed buttons have trouble, but a few tries work. The 3 remaining buttons work well. Better fobs are available. However, for 25 and next day delivery I was very happy to have back up Key. NOTE: YOU need a working FOB to program with car KEY PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS —roll down window —place working fob in cup holder closest to center console —place new fob in key pocket with buttons facing in —place key into door and turn five times in five seconds —press start without the brake, then wait 30 seconds (time it) —check new fob by locking/unlocking door —if this works, press and hold start for ten seconds (time it) —replace new fob to key pocket. Leave old fob in cup holder, leave key in door —set timer for 15 minutes…after 15 minutes the new fob should work

When I purchased the keypad, I ordered one was defected .I had no problem you receiving a replacement, once I received the replacement. I decided to get keypads (fobs) program to my original keys !!!! I’m very satisfied !!! The Fobes works Great !!! They look’s and works like the original key fobs from Cadillac. It didn’t take much time for the locksmith to program, but for me it was not easy , due to fact that the website that was provided was such a bummer. But for the Fobs they work Great !!!!. Thanks I’m back riding !!!!!

I needed a new fob for my 2104 SRX because my old one gave up its ghost. So, I was looking to keep my emergency key and not go through the trouble of making a new one. Unfortunately, the old key doesn't quite fit in this fob. The end alignment pin on the key is larger than the slot on the case. Oh, so close. I could probably take a small file and enlarge slot but my solution was to put the circuit board from the new fob into my old case. THAT FIT PERFECTLY. Go figure. The savings over buying the GM replacement more than offset that issue. Also, the programming instructions stop short of telling you how to assign a driver seat memory position to the new fob. That seems like a critical flaw when you're used to the seat adjusting as soon as you open the door. If you're going to rely on 3rd parties to provide this information, you might select a source that has all of the required information.

It did not work on my 2010 SRX. Professional could not get it to work. Cost me $500 ($100 to program, another $100 to reprogram old key back. Then $300 for Cadillac key box. All I wanted was a spare key for my car. I have the most expensive one ever!!! LESSON LEARNED.
