Well made. Easy to assemble thanks to having the hardware for each step in separate bags. I upgraded from a Ray 5 10W that I was very pleased with but with the 20 my cut times are cut in half. Also engravings seem to have better definition of image details. I had some questions that I needed assistance from tech support and they have been very helpful. Another reason why I chose this machine was that it received good reviews from several experts on Youtube some said that it was comparable to Xtool machines.. I also purchased a Longer camera and it was easily installed and both work well with Lightburn. Definitely a good buy for any novice. Big performance with small cost, always a plus.

I purchased the Longer Ray5 C with air assist and roller and cannot get the roller to function. The instructions (just 5 pages for the roller) and none with the laser. I called customer support, and they are only in China which means they are 12 hours ahead of us. The gentleman that I keep dealing with said they will email me the manuals and set up instructions, but I have not received it after 3 calls. I bought the laser to engrave custom pens, glasses etc. I'm extremely upset as this is impacting my business. The laser has great reviews and is mentioned in good regards, but I'm not seeing how. I gave it 2 stars only because they at least answer the phone but the technical aspect is appalling.Update. Customer service finally cane through and got me the software parameters I needed and got the machine working. 4 stars mostly due to the support. Still they need to clean house on their software publications, that would really be nice to have current, accurate data that could be easier to access.Update, Longer has gone way over the top to make thing right with me. They actually offered a full refund!!! I did not accept the offer but instead asked them to to send me the XY extension kit. The product works well and After the initial problem they have bent over backwards to make things right.

Assembly was pretty straight forward. Huge learning curve with any software. Settled on Lighthouse because fo all the available tutorials on YouTube.

Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser, purchased 3-2023 from Amazon.I wanted to add a few lines to my review after using the Longer Ray5-10 laser. I have been having a blast with it. I can now make things I never could prior to purchasing this laser. In conjuction with Lightburn laser software it is a great asset to my shop. There is a learning curve but so much help is available on the Youtube channels. I am amazed by this machine.When I received my Longer Ray 5-10 Watt Laser, I found it well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was easy. I purchased this Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser to help my daughter with a production laser engraving job she was working on. To accomplish this, I mounted the laser to a 3/4 in. thick hard flat compressed wood board and covered that with a 20 gauge steel plate. I made custom legs as I needed the rigidity and placed them so I could use them to align my engraving fixutre plate. I also moved the touch pad control up higher as I needed to slide my fixtrue in and out from the front.After installing lightBurn on my computer I quickly discovered that this is some great software. It was easy and intuitive to use. I was able to create her logo and engrave it on the first try. I almost couldn't believe it. I was able to adjust the power and speed easily. I am engraving on the top of a 2" diameter ABS plastic ball where the graphics are 1 1/2 inch wide. The Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser was able to do this easily. I adjusted the height on the laser modual to just clear the ball and pushed start and was pleasantly suprised to see it engraved the logo on top and down the sides of the ball witout a rotary table or a Z axis move. The precise laser beam does a great job. The ease of use of this laser and software is amazing. This is the first laser machine I owned. Before I began assembly, I had a couple of questions and Longer customer service was attentive and answered my questions in a timely manor.I was very impressed by the touch screen and its functions. I have a touch screen on my 3D printer and wanted one on my laser machine, and the Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser comes with one standard. I highly recommend this Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser. To show you how the Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser engraves on a ball I clipped the Longer logo and imported it into Lightburn and engraved it on one of the 2 in. diameter balls. See pictures. I still have to make 2 slide in fixtures and may include those after completion. Each fixture plate will hold 36 2 in. ABS balls. I also will make an enclosure wit a vent.Dale

To begin with I don't like giving negative reviews. It's a lot of work to sit down and reduce all this to writing so it's not lightly that I undertake this task.I got this thing all put together only to discover at the very end that they over tightened the Air Supply pipe (Pic 1) to the beam nozzle. Doing so caused the threads on the pipe to completely pop off (Pic 2) only to be dangling by a thin shred of aluminum. The overall build of the machine is probably a four or five stars however the abysmal quality control and the aggravation it caused me rated it a one star.I contacted the company and asked what they wanted me to do, send it back or send me another pipe. After I had some time to think about it and considering how much they charge me for this thing I was so aggravated I decided to just disassemble it and send it all back. Don't worry I won't buy this brand again.

This is a great machine. I'm new to this but my daughter, her best friend and my granddaughter are wearing earrings I made. Ther is a learning curve but not to difficult. Lots of fun.

Had an issue with the screen, but after contacting their customer service they had a new one shipped out the next day. Using the app made it possible to still use the unit while I waited for the replacement screen. Laser works great other than having that hiccup. I had the unit put together in about 30 minutes and was cutting shortly after.
