Excellent, but take care or it will back-fire!
Used this to spice up my Yellow prawn curry. I was glad I found it on Amazon as yellow curry paste is actually quite hard to find in most supermarkets. It is a great paste that is full of flavour, so full that you have to be careful with dosing it! My curry got so spicy that I had to add extra coconut cream and veggies to tone it down for the children. I used about half the sachet for a meal for four, so next time I will use less than a quarter. I will nevertheless put in a repeat order. Eating very spicy food may cause a loss of sense of taste - I admit I’ve started to appreciate Michael Bolton a lot since ..

Nice vegan thai curry paste
Was lovely! Shame I didn't measure the amount as it was REALLY hot! Would be nice to be able to purchase in a jar so that its easier to measure and no wastage.

Hot!
Good curry paste but beware you only need to use a small amount because it's very hot.

Very spicy, nothing special
I bought it directly from the retailer. I bought a number of different flavours. It was the first one I tried and unfortunately was not impressed. It was ok but only ok. Super spicy and not very flavoursome. I’m hoping other ones will be better. I also have panang, red and green curry, pad thai and tom kha to try.

Restaurant taste at home - dead easy!
Purchased these as had tried a yellow curry in a restaurant the week before and wanted to try at home. These didn’t disappoint, lovely flavour, easy to prepare, just throw some chicken (or whatever else you fancy) in a pan/wok with a couple of different veggies (baby corn and water chestnuts) and you’re done. Did find this fairly spicy though we did use a sachet for 8 in a meal for 2 so maybe more dilution would have helped with this - ? Some guidance on the packet might help? Will definitely be trying other flavours!

What a shame!
What a real shame! We love Thai yellow curry for its mildness, however after reading reviews on here it was apparent this stuff is hot! We ordered it anyway and used only a little of the paste and a lot of coconut milk. Even with using a small amount and loads of milk, this was incredibly spicy like no other yellow curry paste I’ve had! We had to bin the meals as they weren’t edible due to the heat. We were attracted to this product as it didn’t contain fish, however we are back to the drawing board.

BEAUTIFUL
Very hot if u don't add a tablespoon of brown sugar. Too sweet for some if u add a tablespoon of white sugar, so just keep adjusting till u find a suitable sweetness/hotness to suit u.

Perfect if you know what you’re buying
This is a lovely paste, spot on for a Thai yellow curry. However there are two Thai yellow curries. One is mild and more like an Indian, and from northern Thailand. The other is fiercely spicy and fruity and from the south. This is the latter. Find a recipe for gaeng luang, be careful how much paste you use, and enjoy. If you want a milder curry, look for something called gaeng kari. That’s the more Indian style one from the north.
