For hermit crabs
I use this on the side of our terrarium for our hermit crabs. It works great without me worrying about any overheating.

Works good after a year
I’ve had this heat pad for over a year for my ball python. It still works really well and he goes to it when he wants to be on the warm side. The adhesion part kind of sucks though. I just depend mostly on the weight of the tank.

Making it Stick
As a wildlife rehabilitator specializing in reptiles, I've been using Zoomed heating pads for over 20 years. They're the best. I've noticed customer complaints about the pads not sticking well, but what I've discovered is that plugging the pad in and letting it warm up before you apply it results in the pad being softer/more pliable at the time of application and the glue making complete contact with the (clean) glass.

It gets very warm
It works very well and heats quickly, but it also gets very warm so be careful where you put it and maybe not put it all over the thing you want to heat as you might fry the animal you're trying to just keep warm. Mine is under about 1/3 of my tarantula's home and it helps in the winter or when it gets cold out.

Over Two Years and Still Running!
I've been using this product for over two years and it's still running perfectly! I have it hooked up to a thermostat to safely regulate the temperature of my snake's enclosure so I don't have to worry about him getting burnt or my house catching fire. I have a spare heat mat ready just in case if this one dies but so far it's continued to produce heat every day without fail!

Never used and returned
Zoo Med's UTH (under tank heaters) have always worked great in the past but a lack of information in the listing description caused me to buy this heater by mistake. I actually needed a higher wattage for my size vivarium. These are always VERY pricey and better options are available. I found a "Snake Strip" UTH from Zoo Med with higher wattage for half the price that works great for my 20g long vivarium allowing me a more uniform heat distribution throughout the entire tank.I have used Zoo Med UTH in the past with varying results: sometimes achieving the temperatures desired and sometimes only giving a degree or two higher than room temps. Adhesion was always a problem after a year or so.
