Could not put these books down. I have never read a book set (almost 3,000 pages in total!) so fast in my life.Amazing world and character building, that draws you right into the story. Great pace of action that keeps you reading. And plenty of, er... spice 😉.The last book (Silver Flames) is written from a different character's perspective to the others, which I was apprehensive about because this person isn't a very likeable character in the other books, but that was really good too. Especially as you learn what they have been going through and so see things from their perspective.Cannot wait for the next book to be released. Hurry up Sarah please 🙏.(ps. at the time of writing this review, you can buy the books individually on Amazon cheaper than the boxset).

Well, I am very late on this bandwagon and thought I'd hop on board with low expectations. I finished the series in a week. I adored the writing style, the world building was amazing and magical, the characters multi faceted and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Out of the 5 books currently available I preferred ACOMAF, I felt so immersed in that and although ACOSF was a good read (warning: spice overload!) I just did not connect with Nesta/her perspective in this book, but appreciated the character arc (still dislike her though 😂). I am now converted to this genre and feel like I'll be exploring the rest of the authors works, I cannot recall the last time I read a book series so enjoyable, and may have developed an obsession! Cannot wait for the next installment

This was a great series that I couldn't just put down. If Toulouse magic, stories of the fae and adventure to one's self then this is an ideal read, (the smut helps too). Could not put this down and cannot wait to the next chapter!

I hadn't read any books for years, and these were the perfect books to get me back into reading. Sarah J Maas has an addictive writing style, and I couldn't put these books down - I read them all in less than a month! Perfect stories for fantasy and romance readers alike, with characters that you just want to read more about! I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy the last book, ACOSF, as much, due to the focus shifting to other characters, but this actually ended up being my joint favourite (alongside ACOMAF). Really great value for 5 books as well.

I like these books, but im not sure im in love.I feel like i had to keep reading -because I bought all 5 in a deal. I very much doudt I will ever read them again.Admittedly, the writer does seem to gain some skills through the series, the character development improves especially.

I really enjoyed this series! I had never heard of this author until she kept coming up on TikTok videos. I love fantasy books, so I decided to give these a try. I was hooked within a few pages of ACOTAR and have been completely absorbed in the story for almost the entire box set. Every single book had me exhausted as I couldn't put them down and I read late into the night. The depth of characters and the world building is just enough that you feel each court, each person and each relationship come alive as you read along. The first book had me loving then hating Tamlin, Rhysand too, and I've enjoyed seeing Nesta's personality explaned as her charactor grew in ACOSF. I laughed and cried along the way as each character blossomed and grew page by page. I'm not sure what happened with ACOFAS, it was a bit boring, but I read it anyway. It doesn't really add anything to the rest of the story, so you could easily skip it and you wouldn't miss anything important. I 100% recommend these books, especially if you like a little bit of smut mixed in with your fantasy books! I found myself genuinely disappointed when I finished the last book, I hope there is another one! I've bought every book SJM has written because I've enjoyed these immensely and am about to start of Throne Of Glass. I hope they live up to my expectations!
